Guest guest
Dear Dave, Namaste. Why the confusion? Richard Houck was an experienced Astrologer and has corrected Lahiris Ayanamsa for his predictive acuracy? So did Krishnamurty, as have many others. Ramans seems abit overboard, but i'll not comment on that. So until its been established that Lahiri is inacurate, use it and if theres an inacuracy change it but be mindful. If people are complaining about a change in Lagnas using different Ayanamsas, then for gods sake just rectify your birth time propperly! If you find a planetary inacuracy, then your on the right track. Raman also used Lahiri for many of his books and suddenly one day he was using his own, and has only used it in his most recent books. Of all the deviations to chose from i'd chose Krishnamurties first. I'm sure Houcks is similar to this as well. So if you have to make a decission let it be a well thought one, that has come with experience. Among the experienced Astrologers of Lahiri Ayanamsa, such a question comes in a similar form as the tale mermaids in the sea.. namely that they've spotted 'some' instances where something could have looked better with a different ayanamsa. So learn why and how it should be changed, and you will be a brilliant astrologer. Best wishes, Visti.
