Guest guest
Dear friends, I did not intend to send easter greetings- if everyone did, the list would be overloaded! But I just now saw a report on TV about a 7 year-old girl who died recently, a spastic child. Within those 7 years she was a joy for the parents, her intelligence, understanding and sweetness had been so intensive, that the mother was able to talk about her without breaking into tears, but sure that she was in heaven...... "Unless ye be as the little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven!" "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me shall live forever, though he be dead!" In the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Rome there is an ancient plaque bearing the inscription "Jesus the Nazarene, King of Juda" in the three languages, Hebrew, Latin and greek. Hebrew is read from right to left. The Latin and Greek texts are also written from right to left! A journalist friend of mine spent two years investigating the genuineness of this plaque - and with 99% certainty, it is the plaque that was nailed to the holy cross. He hs written a book reporting his findings and has presented/dedicated it to the pope at a private audience. The cross has many meanings. The Egyptian cross, the Ankh, is a symbol of life and eternity. In astrology it is the earth and the part of fortune. It is the core of the swastika, the rotating self-being. In esoteric teachings it is a symbol of the heart. Jesus was crucified on a proper cross, his heart more or less at the crossing of the beams. Criminals on a reversed Tau-cross, crucified with the head down. Peter was crucified in this manner, though not a criminal. Pilate was caught in a quandary: his wife was a "christian", his conscience did not justify the punishment. But the threat of the sadducees, that they would expose him as a supporter of Jesus as the true King, in opposition to Roman authority, led him to save his skin, to order the execution. He did his best to satisfy both sides: gave Jesus an "honorable" crucifixion. The inscription was not cynical, but a last attempt to redeem himself! Writing the Greek and Latin from right to left was the "cynical" message: I have satisfied you, but not myself!" Pilate paid for his sins - the Roman law caught up with him for irregularities! jesus himself was a cross between Rama and Krishna: one was rarely aware of his divinity, the other always aware, but separated from us because of that. Jesus was mostly aware, but was able to share human experiences. He not only preached, but also administered at the social level. Did not tell us how to be, but showed how to be. This is the first Easter of the new millennium. May it be a new awakening. Om Christave namaha! regards Mani

Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!! Namaste dear ones!!! thank you dear elder brother, for sharing that sweet and Loving Easter message...it as usual had me in tears of Divine Love thru-out the entire letter...Dear One, you are so full of sweetness and light... i feel Amma Herself, and the Christ too, speaking thru you, even if i don't always agree with the details, i most certainly love the depth of feeling and the universality of your viewing.... i'm not so sure about Sri Krsna as being "separated" from the rest of us by His awarenens of His own Divinity though....first of all, we are not with Him to check this out, right now....and second of all we have Ammachi as a reference....Ammachi, Who is fully aware of Who She is, and has been since birth...and yet has come right down to our levels to walk with us, and give us counsel, and just as the Christ to model the right way of living to us...Who are we to judge the Avatars as to the "fullness" of the Divine Being within them...especially as we are so blind ourselves! (just a tiny "criticism" dear brother!) i don't think that Amma feels any separation at all between Herself and Her children...She Herself, says:"I am the you that is in you and you are the me that is in me.".....Does this imply any feeling of separation....and if we read the Gita...do we see any signs of feelings of separationg between Sri Krsna and his devotees? not in my way of seeing.. Perhaps Sri Krsna was just like Christ and Amma, and was daily moving about with His friends, and being the ideal model Himself, just as Christ did and Ammachi does.......perhaps Sri Krsna never felt any separation at all between Himself and the devotees, Who are after all His own....and little sparks of Himself.....perhaps only you, dear brother, feel there was some separation there...i feel that Sri Krsna, being the Godhead, would not be feeling separate from anyone or anything...but rather would be feeling constantly oneness with all of His creation, such that sometimes it must have been "difficult" to remember just which one of His bodies He should be operating in just which manner... This is what Paramahansa Yoganandaji reported to one of his disciples...that He felt Himself to be in so many bodies that it was hard to know which one was the Yogananda body... So please forgive me for my little issue with you over Sri Krsna, because i see Sri Krsna and Christ and Ammachi as all the Same Being...incarnating in different eras for the wellbeing of the entire world...that Divine Consciousness, which has no Name or Form, and is "Nirguna", from time to time has promised, whenever Dharma declines upon the Earth, and the evil ones are over-running it, to take a birth in the "Saguna"(with-form), to uplift and protect the devotees, and destroy the evil....this is a promise given and recorded in many of the Sanatana Dharma Scriptures...so why do we need to differentiate so much between them? They would see no such differences... Each Avatar is suited to the time in which S/He takes birth....and will thus appear differently, and give different seeming teachings, which are suited to the particular devotees of the time... May Christ, and Sri Krsna, and the Divine Mother bless us always, in whichever form we find most attractive! In Her Divine Love and in Her Service, as ever, your stumbling little brother who always thinks he knows it all but who learns so Much from his beloved elder brother Mani!!! as ever, your Own Self, visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!
