Dear Ann, Since my answer may amuse others, I am answering on the list. Thanks for kind inquiry. Actually Inder Jit did not predict sickness and hospitalization. He only predicted troubles in May. The hospitalization is a voluntary matter and he has suggested a much later date than the venus transit thru aries. I do not ask for guidance thru channelling any more. Only info about existing conditions and past events. seth is very careful not to "foretell" the future, for his attitude is that everyone shapes his own future - either lets the tendency work or tries to change things. He is also clear in saying that the future is not totally pre-determined. His advice is always logical, but I find it is no better than what I can think up. What he does is give inside info about developments which I or we cannot see or foresee. Like we had wanted to buy a certain building as a centre for our activities. The building was sold to someone else. But Seth said the place would eventually come to us and the sale was a phoney deal, the person who bought it had no money to pay for it. And that is exactly what it turned out to be! Sometimes he says to me, "You know the answer already, so why ask me?" or, "I am not allowed to give an answer: you are there to find out!" regards Mani Hope the baby is now okay and laughing! one of my nephews cut his ear - shades of Van Gogh on the list!!! - by falling on a sharp stone. My brother sewed it up without any anaesthesia, but the baby obviously felt no pain! Funny how babies are sort of insensitive to pain, though they howl for a moment - and it is more a protest against a misfortune than actual suffering! I once had the misfortune to drink a mother´s milk by mistake. It is actually hilariuos story: Years ago I was visiting a surgeon friend in London. He was on emergency night duty at the Brompton Childrens´Hospital, so I spent the night there, in one of the rooms reserved for personnel. He was a hobby cook and promised me and the nurses a great meal: a special chicken cooked with oranges. Unfortunately he had chosen a huge bird, a "broiler". The creature must have been a war-veteran, simply refused to be cooked. After waiting for hours we decided to eat it, for there seemed to be no hope of softening or conquering it. It was carved with difficulty, and the assistance of the nurses, like a major operation. The sauce and vegetables etc. were excellent. But get the meat down one had to chew along the grain! This did not suit my digestion. My stomach started bloating and rumbling. After trying in vain to sleep, I asked the doc to give me some kind of laxative. He told the nurse get me something. She was a novice ... and brought me a suppsitory. It didn´t help, made it worse.... She had brought me a thing to stop peristalsis and loose motions, not a laxative!!! I had been plugged! The nightmare night ended, by the grace of God I was at last able to relieve myself. Then came breakfast. Cereal to start. Could I have some milk? The same helpful nurse brought me a small jug with milk. The moment I tasted it I spat out and howled! Nothing has ever tasted so horrible in my life, it was a mixture of cyanide and sulphuric acid! Just then the day nurse came rushing in, asking if anyone had seen a small jug with milk in it. It was milk a mother had pumped out in reserve for her baby... And sure enough, it was the jug I had been given! It is truly amazing how the tiny, sweet and tender creatures drink that horrible stuff with ecstasy! If an adult were to like it I´d say he must be a devil! But this night is memorable for another reason: Prince Charles had spent the same night at the hospital, "under the same roof", to be operated for his "bat´s ears". I don´t think the operation was a success. I still say, "Be careful, Charles have ears!" The next day in London was even more rewarding. I met Bing Crosby on the street and could express my thanks for his singing. He said "That is the best part: that I´m able to give happiness to people." Years later, Yehudi Menuhin, whom I met in New Delhi, said exactly the same words! regards Mani
