Usually they are a blend of the doshas...my prikriti for instance is Vata/Kapha. Capricorn: Vata Ketu in Lagna: Vata Strong JU aspect: Kapha Ascendant lord in Gemini Vata/Pitta/Kapha so they cancel each other out. I think once you see a true dosha type you can not mistake them...as examples, and I'm only surmising here as I don't have their horoscopes to check. But I would say that tall, lanky Clint Eastwood would be close to a true Vata; John McEnroe looks (and behaves) very much like a true Pitta; and Pete Sampras (to my mind) is a good example of a true Kapha type...thick, stocky build, so laid back (calm), tremendous endurance. I was wondering though, for Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Mercury and Venus, as they're mixed, how you decide what's the strongest influence.
