Guest guest
Dear Manoj, I appreciate your arguements re: information being withheld. I am in two minds as both sides of the arguement are valid. However, I can only draw on my experience when deciding a course of action. One particular Aboriginal community I work with has literally 'gone to hell on a broomstick'. 'Luckily' much knowledge died with the owners as they had the good sense NOT to pass it to anybody considered unworthy. Unfortunately, what has survived has been twisted beyond recognition or used inappropriately, degenerating into black magic. Young women are pack raped and 'smoked'. A nasty rite is practised over them, which attaches an evil spirit to them, and draws them back. You can imagine the fear these women carry. They never feel safe. I tread a fine line in my work. The western mind/system does not tolerate the metaphysical. Astrology is considered a complete nonsense and withcraft cannot exist. If I were caught 'laying on hands' or 'clearing' a spell, I would most certainly lose my job, and probably be deregistered for 'unprofessional' practice/conduct. Mostly, I have to feign ignorance on both sides. Just food for thought, Ann.
