Hello list,

 

There is a famous english saying : Fools seldom differ and wise men seldom

agree. I am finding this happening on the list for some time. Those who have

leanings on this side of the fence or that side of the fence are trying to

pull the fence with so much force that the fence itself has shaking.

 

Oflate I have noticed that people who are trying to push themselves forward

are trying to veer around the classical astrology and in their zest for

advancement are creating ever new things in astrology which do not have the

sanction of the saints. The saints must be crying somewhere up in the skies

and must surely be pained at the way and the kind of people who have taken

to astrology.

 

Brihat Samhita lays down the qualifications of astrologers. Lets read them

first and try and to those canards and try and become human beings

first, forget about being astrologers. Dashas are being calculated on the

basis of divisional charts +phew+ post mortems are being conducted, others

sermonised, no self-restraint applied, "mansa, vaacha, karmana" and the

surprise it that all are in their own means, well read, Jupiterian,

knowledgeable and what not and what not ? But what surely is missing is the

spirit of conversation and discussing a thing. Come to Benaras of Delhi and

see how astrologers discuss points amongst themselves but for doing so, one

has to forego the spirit of one-up-manship, which is not leaving.

 

So lets come around and start discussing astrology in puritanical and

liberal and relaxing spirit so that we do justice to the science we intend

to serve.
