Guest guest
Who is, or was ever, so good at divination using astrology that they could foretell exactly what events would be foretold by a transit of any point by any planet? And do it every time, time after time. To my knowledge there is not anyone capable of doing that, no matter what astrological tools they might use, nor was there ever! And if anyone is that good, would you please tell me how to KNOW when a transit is not going to indicate any perceptible effect, as I have observed this many times without being able to know that it would not produce anything. Where is this master? With so many tools offered it seems that one should always be able to find something to back their offerings with. Guest guest
Hey Bob: At 07:10 PM 5/12/01 -0000, you wrote: >Who is, or was ever, so good at divination using astrology that they >could foretell exactly what events would be foretold by a transit of >any point by any planet? And do it every time, time after time. You're right, I doubt there has anyone who could do that. But judging from the tone of your post, you seem to see this as a weakness of astrology and astrologers. But it really isn't a weakness. That's because transits by themselves cannot "cause" anything. They are two or three steps down the predictive food chain. So say, somebody has a Jupiter transit to the 10th lord. Who could predict if this will cause a boost to career? With only that information, nobody. Transits only "work" together with dashas, (is the dasha of the 10th lord running) and for some of us, directions and progressions. So the only way to know if a transit will going to produce a predictable effect is to ascertain the other relevant variables in the puzzle. Then a good astrologer WILL indeed be able to tell you will much greater certainty if that transit will coincide with a noticeable effect. Without dashas, progressions, and directions, using transits alone for prediction is a muggs game, used mostly by inexperienced astrologers.
