Guest guest
Hi, could somebody explain this, because the 5th house is the most confusing to me. I read that this house and it's lord determine your past life actions, and that you can time when and how you will enjoy the fruits, or suffer the falls of those actions. But why would you even want to do that, wouldn't the enjoyment or suffering, of whatever it is, just drag you further into illusion because, well, whichever it is, good or bad, it seems to still be the result of some action you did before? Why then is this house considered so good? Thanks if you know Angie
Guest guest
Hello Angie. Don't tread on past life material until you've learnt how to mastered this lifes. The 5th and 9th houses are called Dharma trikona. Acording to Mantreswara, taking the 9th house as lagna shows your previous life, and the 5th shows your next. Both houses shows the dharma we inherit(9th) and continue to exhibit(5th). The Shastyamsa(D-60) should be seen to understand all past life karma. > But why would you even > want to do that, wouldn't the enjoyment or suffering, of whatever it is, > just drag you further into illusion because, well, whichever it is, good > or bad, it seems to still be the result of some action you did before? We are reborn to learn, not to suffer. Once we're finished learning, we go back to godhead. Best wishes, Visti. - <spyrikal <gjlist> Tuesday, June 05, 2001 6:08 PM [gjlist] 5th house~lord and past life > Hi, could somebody explain this, because the 5th house is the most > confusing to me. Guest guest
Thank you Visti, I always appreiciate your comments I'm unfamiliar with who Mantreswara is though, and actually...most of the philosophy spoken on this list, and the popular words like karma and dharma and godhead...I understand that knowing that stuff though is a big part of jyotish, so I know there's some catching up I need to do. Actually, come to think of it, I don't know why I asked those questions really, very spur of the moment, probably because I've recently been more anxious to know why I'm even on this list...I keep contradicting myself as to why, that I haven't figured out yet....because I like astrology and all, but I just don't feel like that's why I'm here, on this list, ya know? One thing's for sure though. I don't think I would have learned the gayatri mantra though anywhere else, that's something that sticks for sure, and Mu, I can't get his DO IT out of my head...he was talking about getting the nerve to do astro readings, but that's not how I heard it, I think it was a message that I need to be more assertive, and like someone I know had said, I need to stop hiding on the net, and get rid of this shyness I have, because that's really what I needed to hear at the time...and, oh, then about a year ago in a different group I was curious to know about magnetic healing, why and how it works...and surprise surprise, the one man who really, I mean really, jolted my mind with his answer to my question, is on this list, hmm....Oh, it must've been an angie attracting magnet that drew me here I don't know. Oh, I remember you mentioning in a post a while back about the Shastyamsa(D-60), that definately sounds ike the way to go, but I know most charts require rectifications, so then you can never be sure about that one. It seems very advanced too. I definately like the higher octave charts much better, there's so much more to see it seems, but poo ~ you're right, I should get a hold of the lower things first. Thanks, Angie
