Guest guest
Dear Liliana, This is from the same list, another source. I hope it will help you. Best regards, Patrice [vedic astrology] fixing the hoax for those who need it. Hope this helps all of you who I inconvenienced with the bogus virus warning. here is the file you got to open >> Widows Explorer >> Go to "Window 98" -folder >> open it >> go to "COMMAND" - folder >> open it and than drag or " cut and paste " the file into it . or follow the instruction on the web site >> click the 2. "Tell me more " below good luck SULFNBK: JUST ANOTHER HOAX Several well-meaning friends recently sent me warnings about a killer virus contained in a file called SULFNBK. You probably got one of these emails, too. Search any Windows PC and you'll find a file by that name. So should you believe the dire warning that it's undetectable by antivirus programs? Will it really wipe out every file and folder on your hard drive on June 1? Nope. SULFNBK is a perfectly legitimate (although slightly obscure) Windows file. Symantec's Antivirus Research Center (SARC) has an excellent write-up that explains the hoax. Tell me more. If you've already been taken in and deleted this innocent file, don't worry. Mary Landesman, About.com's Antivirus Guide, has instructions on how to recover the deleted file. Tell me more. How did this hoax get started? Probably because someone got infected with the extremely nasty Magistr virus. This diabolical worm sifts through the Windows folder on an infected machine in search of files to attack. Magistr probably picked out the SULFNBK file on the machine belonging to the poor soul who started this misguided warning. But the infected file could just as easily have been SUREGCAT or CFGWIZ32.
