Methods of prescribing Gems

Dear All,

 

It is clear to me that a lot of traditional Astrologers prescribe to the

theory of strengthening (lagnesh) nakshatra lord...as in Beau's case,

lagnesh Sun is in nakshatra of Mercury. This may, or may not, be a sound

principle (in theory)...But only if nakshatra lord is beneficial to the

Ascendant.

 

My opinion is that lagnesh in nakshatra of 2/11 lord is detrimental to the

health and well-being...particularly as lagnesh is Sun (planet of health).

However, as said in previous post, this situation is counteracted

(fortunately) by Mercury's association with 9th lord...support of nature,

solutions to problems, etc...and aspect of 9th house karaka Jupiter.

for Lord of my lagna...Mars. I've been wearing coral for about two months

and nothing really horrible has happened YET. June 12, 1961, 3:15 AM, San

Pedro, CA. Ummm..can someone help me over here? He also said to wear yellow

sapphire for Jupiter. Jupiter and Mars exchange signs (they are both fallen

but in each other's exalted signs) and Jup is next to Saturn in the 10th.

Mars at 27 Cancer in the 4th. I've been doing mantra's faithfully everyday.

Mars rules the 8th (scorp) and when I was in Mars/Jup period, I suffered an

near death experience when my son was born. I'm coming up on my Jupiter/Mars

I guess you could look at it this way: Doctors may argue over time about

drugs for particular medical problems and through studies they find whether a

drug works for the general population or not (including the small percentage

of deaths due to allergic reactions...whatever). That doesn't mean that we

should stop alltogether in the use of the drugs...right? Unless people are

dropping like flies or something. Now what exactly should I be 'looking' for

in terms of the negative effects of the Mars (4th/10th) like if I get fired,

that's a sign?

WHEW...oooooooook! I feel better now! LOL! Even though Mars is in house

opposite Saturn/Jup (weak)...it's still ok? So that was just a freak moment

when he was born and I happened to have all that death stuff aspected. Lucky

me. Yeah I know NDE's are supposed to be fabulous etc. however the

circumstances surrounding it were not happy and I woke up in the dark with

sounds of screaming all around me thinking I went to hell instead of heaven

<grin> and it was only the labor room next to me. A voice on the other side

was telling me I HAD to go back and I was pissed. Too funny. Braha said

that I should not strengthen mars without strengthening Jupiter so the yellow

sapphire is ok? Cost me enough (only 2 carats which he said was ok). So I

should strengthen the Sun too like Chris said? I'm going to look like a pimp

before I'm done (excuse me...people say stuff with all these stones all over

me. You should see my spouse...LOL).

 

Can someone look at my son's and daughter's charts and tell me maybe what

they should wear just off the top of your head. Moon in 8th says moonstones

to me but what the hell do I know. I put coral around my daughter's neck

(Oct 11, 1987, 7:11 pm, Corona, CA and I almost had an NDE with a c-section

with her too. Anesthesia messed up with her too and I could feel them

cutting into me and then the weight on my chest. All three of my c-sections

were horrendous) but she has Jupiter on her Asc in Aries sooooooooooo ??

Maybe that wasn't such a good idea. She's going into high school. The last

thing I need is for her to have a problem. Gawd. Kenny was born Jan 27,

1989, 8:24 AM, Corona, CA. <sigh>. I promise if they have anything strange

happen to them within minutes of wearing anything, I will take it off as this

is not an exact science and so on. My son had severe asthma for 8 years and

he has Sun/Merc (retro) in the 12th with Moon in the 8th (my NDE chart as you

know is his birth chart). Little bugger took a lot of strength out of me

when he came through and it's taken me years to get back up to par

physically. He's a cutie:o)

 

Can we substitute semi-precious stones for the precious ones but bigger,

right?

I have always worn stones. I have an affinity for the energy of stones and

for instance, Amber has always had a good effect for me. Amber to some

astrologers is the 'lowest' rung on the ladder for Jupiter and DUH I have

huge Amber stones that I have always worn that seem to help ward off

negativity around me, soothe me and make me feel 'balanced'. Malachite is

another one that I have an affinity for but I have no idea what planet it

would be attached to (mercury...green?). However I stopped wearing it a

couple of years ago when I started feeling queasy when I put it on and gave

all my Malachite jewelry away. Hmmmmmm. I have never liked gold...always

worn silver. Wonder what the metals are attached to. Hematite is another

stone I wear a lot. Always had coral not knowing Mars was my birth lord at

the time. LOVE citrine and obsidian and tourmalines. I never have really

liked 'precious' stones so this is new to me!

I have little experience in this area but I have listened to a number of

contradicting opinions(which frankly reduce my enthusiasm for them). My

best sense of the effect of the gem, if there will be any, is that it will

be felt in a very short time after starting to wear it. If you felt bad or

sick or had misfortune happen to you in the first few hours of days after

wearing it, then that's a sign that the coral was bad for you. Since that

didn't happen, it's likely fine. If something does end up happening to

you, I wouldn't blame the coral at all. Nor would I credit it either, if

it happens to be favourable. The best measure of the gems utility should

be in the first days of wearing it. That's why all the god jyotish gem

places offer money back guarantees so you can experiment with them at the

outset.

 

Don't freak out, just be glad you didn't have to fork out for a diamond!

Sure, getting fired could be a sign, but it could also mean you're not

pulling your weight at work! :-) As I said, I think the key time period

for gem effect testing is the first few days after you put it on. Like

Beau wrote, he felt sick. Obviously, that's a sign. Or since this is

Mars, anything Martian in a bad sense, like cutting yourself, getting angry

for no good reason, etc. would also be a sign that coral isn't for you.

 

I think your example of modern drugs is a good one. They don't always work

for everyone, but they do work for *most* people. (actually they often

don't even do that but given the way money rules the FDA...enuff said) That

means as intelligent disriminating people we should be able to accept the

fact that some gem prescriptions will induce an "allergic" reaction in a

minority of people, but that doesn't mean the general principle behind the

gem prescription was wrong. However, one has to pay attention to the

number of allergic reactions. Good metaphor.

You have no cause for concern. Ascendant (Aries) is Mars moolatrikona sign.

And 9th house (Sagittarius) is Jupiter's moolatrikona sign...so both these

planets are benefic for your ascendant.

 

At the time of your NDE (son's birth) you were running RA-MA-RA-SU. For you

dasa lord Rahu is in 5th house of children, bhukti lord Mars (lagnesh) is in

mutual aspect with Jupiter (significator of children)...and down the line

sookshma dasa of Sun.

 

To keep it as brief as possible; 5th lord Sun is aspecting

(activating/influencing) 8th house...amongst other things this house governs

the "experience" of death, or in your case NDE. Certainly our karma is

intimately intertwined with our family, children, etc...

 

Your son was running MO-ME-ME-MO at the time of his birth. In his chart dasa

lord Moon (mother) is in the 8th house, bhukti lord Mercury is in the

No! I do not prescribe to the use of semi-precious stones as remedials. I

also do not prescribe to the "try it and see for yourself" theory put

forward...this is foolhardy, to say the least. Better to consult a good

astrologer with experience in this area. As seen from Beau's post, the wrong

gem can be harmful.

This is a safe shot to recommend gems for lord of lagna(prosperity health), for

lord of 9th (general prosperity, so called lucky stone) and for lord of 5th

(also

lucky stone). This is highly specific area and a lot of experience is needed.

My enggagement ring has diamond on it, wonder if this might be the cause of

our constant arguments. Would appreciate if someone can give comments. My birth

chart is, 10 Sep 1973, 11.23pm (local time) at 5n22 100e28. Malaysia.

 

Does Jade has any significance in Jotish?. I tend to feel confused/depressed if

I wear it.

Hello Easwari,

 

Wedding ring having diamond is the token of love and affection from your

husband. I am not sure about gems, (as in my view, I neither use them nor

prescribe them) but what I am sure about is the benevolence of the almighty.

So why not bring an idol of Lord Krishna and Radha in your home and pray to

it regularly.

Since some astrologers suggest that , gem stones has to be carefuly picked, I

was worried if the diamond was enhancing the effect of Venus (my ascendant)

being in my sixth house. However, I seem to have much peace by chanting the

mantra below on Fridays:

Pathaye Swaha",

with MahaLaxmi and MahaVishnu as the center of my thoughts.

Your chart is a truly perplexing study in the area of relationships. I'm

sure you're not exaggerating when you say you're engaged in constant

arguments...particularly volatile at the moment, I'm sure, with transiting

Mars at home in 7th and aspecting your Ascendant.

 

For you, 7th lord Mars is aspecting (from his moolatrikona sign) your

Ascendant lord Venus, who is in his moolatrikona sign in the 6th house of

disputes. Great energy, passion and conflict are very much the order of the

day in your intimate relationships/partnerships. If you and your partner

could work together (work/service) in ways that would burn up/dissipate all

this energy, you would likely find the arguments dissipating...put all that

energy, that passion, into some sort of service.....

 

In regards to the diamond you're wearing, my advice is that, unless it's a

should I wear for my professional achievement and more better prosperity.

As of now, I have Corel and Topaz since many years. Are these two gems ok

This is a safe shot to recommend gems for lord of lagna(prosperity health),

for

lord of 9th (general prosperity, so called lucky stone) and for lord of 5th

(also

lucky stone). This is highly specific area and a lot of experience is

needed.

You should wear Red Ruby on ring finger of your right hand for balancing bad

placement of sun and mars in the chart. It should be of 7/9/11 rattis and very

high quality. If unaffordable, Pyrop Garnat can do, but ruby is better...In such

case, topaz and red coral is not necessary..Try it out and see the effects..
