Bush's Dasamsa, Rudra, and Maheswara

Dear friends,

 

In light of the terrorist attacks, and probable U.S. military response, it

is useful to look at the president's Dasamsa chart. Before doing that,

here are some relevant factors related to his rasi chart as well:

 

1. Saturn is doubly dangerous, as it is not only the lord of the 8th, but

is also Rudra, as well as Maheswara. These nomenclature are given to the

planets which meet the following qualifications:

 

RUDRA: It is the stronger of the lord of the 2nd or 8th house from the

ascendant. Strength, in this case, is as per Jaimini, who states that the

stronger one is the one associated with more planets. Next to that, the

stronger one is the one who is the Atmakaraka, or who associates with the

AK; next to that, the one who receives the aspect of Jupiter, Mercury, or

the lord of the sign where he is placed. If one is exalted, it is

stronger; and if one is debilitated, then the other is stronger. Clearly,

Saturn, having association with two other planets, one of whom is the AK

(Venus), is Rudra in Bush's chart (not Sun).

 

There are 11 Rudras, or dangerous incarnations of the destruction dharma of

Lord Shiva. The Rudras, apart from the one above which is calculated from

the ascendant, are theoretically the 8th lord (or lord of the 8th from the

7th, i.e. the 2nd), from all the astrological houses. Why not then 12

Rudras? Parasara and Jaimini state that the lord of the 8th from the house

containing Jupiter, cannot be Rudra. So that leaves 11 Rudras.

 

MAHESWARA: Maheswara is the king of all Rudras, and is thus very

dangerous. He is the lord of the 8th from the Atmakaraka. If the 8th lord

therefrom is in its own or exalted sign, however, then the stronger of the

lord of the 8th or 12th from him, will become Maheswara. If Rahu/Ketu are

in the 1st or 8th from the AK, then Maheswara will be the lord of the 6th

from AK (because the nodes force a backward counting from the signs wherein

they are placed). There are some other exceptions regarding determination

of Rudra and Maheswara that are given in the Jaimini Upadesa Sutras, but

the above are enough for now.

 

Now, the signs either having Rudra, or the trines from him, are called

Trishoola rasis, and will give death to an individual for whom the Shoola

dasa, or other Ayur dasa rasis, are in these signs. Similarly, the signs

having Maheswara, or the trines from him, or the Vimsottari dasas ruled by

him, will have very devastating effects during their period of

operation. In the case of G.W. Bush, his current operative Vimsottari

dasa is that of Rudra/Maheswara, Saturn, and thus for his country, much

devastation shall be experienced during this dasa. Now, go to the Dasamsa,

or 10th division chart:

 

DASAMSA:

 

Saturn rules the 8th, and is also the ruler of the Shasta pada, or Arudha

of the 6th house. Its debilitation in the 10th in the sign of Aries,

aspected by exalted Mars, sets up a Neecha bhanga Raja yoga showing that he

is flanked by generals and military personnel who are very powerful, and

savvy in the subtleties of warfare, and that the retaliation for the

terrorist attacks will be strategic, well-planned, and very difficult for

his enemies to surmount *in the long run*. Note that Mars is Bush's yoga

karaka in the rasi, Navamsa (from the Moon), as well as Dasamsa, and thus

instinctually, he will get the most public support throughout his

administration in a war time setting, rather than a peace-time setting. So

far, he has lost ground in popularity poles due to a slipping economy

(debilitated Jupiter), as well as other tactical blunders in the

environment policies, foreign policy, etc. But now that the country has

gone to war, Bush gets to gravitate toward his strongest planet - Mars -

and thus will receive much support and public approval around a war effort

to root out terrorism.

 

The debilitation of the 6th lord Jupiter, and debilitation of the A6 lord

Saturn, also indicates that the enemy does not have nearly the same

military might as does the U.S., and thus they have to resort to other

crafty or sinister means to do their work. Note that the lord of the 12th

in Bush's Dasamsa, Mercury, is also the lord of Mrtyu pada (Arudha of the

8th), and that Mercury makes rasi aspects to all of Jupiter, Mars, and

Saturn. Mercury thus ruling the 12th and A8, is quite capable of evading

direct confrontation, and instead makes use of a world-wide network who can

attack in one place, while the U.S. is looking for Bin Laden in

Afghanistan! The U.S. will look to find the "leader", when by definition,

a network has no "specific" leader, in the same way that there are no

Presidents or head offices for the Internet. Bin Laden, is simply a

central figure inspiring the interconnectedness of like-minded persons, or

terrorists, who can launch an attack from wherever, much like a hacker can

send out a bad virus to computers in America, from his apartment in Hong

Kong.

 

DASAMSA NARAYANA DASA

 

So this, needless to say, will take a long time to eradicate. Note as

follows the Narayana dasas for Bush, calculated for his Dasamsa chart:

From this, we can see that Bush is up for a long, protracted effort, at

least for the duration of the Aquarius D-10 Narayana dasa, with Aq and Le,

the sub-period sign, fixed in nature. Just like in Prashna astrology,

wherein a fixed sign rising in the Prashna chart shows that the outcome of

the question at hand will take a long time to come to fruition, similarly

in Bush's presidency, the effort against terrorism will be fought on many

fronts, and will take a very long time. Aq is directly the 8th house, as

well as Arudha of the 6th, thus requiring an effort of intelligence and

strategy, more so than intimidating military strength.

 

Note that the 7th sign from Aq, viz. Le, is operative now. Leo has

Mercury, as we have been discussing above, i.e. the lord of the 12th

(covert), and lord of A8 (secretive, chronic, and insidious in

nature). Mercury's aspect to debilitated Jupiter (the presidency and

Bush's government), indicates that the enemy is smarter or more crafty, as

well as slippery or elusive, and thus does not have to rely on a strong

military as mentioned above.

 

Note, however, that when the sub-period turns over to Virgo - from 4/02 to

1/03 - the enemy will lose his grip, as from Virgo the lagna and 10th lord

(Mercury) goes to the 12th, and is aspected by exalted yogakaraka Mars. So

Bin Laden will be found, and will be defeated during that time, although

the "network" will continue. Mars, as dispositor of Maheswara Saturn, and

Jupiter as dispositor of Atmakaraka Venus, are important significators for

Bush and also a world coalition, who, although groping in the dark at the

beginning of this conquest, will emerge victoriously against terrorism in

the long term.
