Guest guest
Though I have not really contributed much to the discussion of vedic "astrology", I have gained much from the "collective" wisdom of all the serious students (experts), who have contributed to the list. However, in the past little while, arguments are raging on a variety of topics, where individuals have gotten into the habit of professing their superiority of approach and at times even "spiritual" oneupmanship. The story of the blind men who visited an elephant comes to my mind. The Vedic Wisdom is not based on "rationality" alone. Common sense and intuition are equally valid methods of approaching the Truth and may have been given more importance by the ancient vedic seers. The same scriptures can and have been interpreted by Evolved Souls in contradictory ways. Monistic and dualistic interpretations have been equally valid for their votaries in the Vedic Religion, based on the same common set of spiritual literature. Let us not get caught in the contemporary fascination with rationalism prevalent in the Western Culture. (I hope no one is offended by this. If anyone is, my apologies). Argumentation does not achieve anything. If anyone were to gather converts, let them realize that it is best achieved by commanding respect, but not by demands, even if they are "correct". Let the list be a study circle. Let everyone voice what they can see from their "vantage" point. By summing up all the individual contributions, we may at least visualize the "Whole". Though some level of questioning and discussion may be appropriate, it should not become counterproductive argumentation. Love, Arun
