Guest guest
Dear members, hello! What I must like in being part of this list is: everytime we put a question at least one person answers it, if we are lucky, then we have plenty of replayings. Thank you so much. To me it proofs that other people even when is a new member as me, got your respect this really makes the difference. This time I would like to put a question, that I have been traying to sort out myself without success. In one of the last mails, some member were discussing about the "64th Navamsa" concerning longevity. Did I understand it correctly? Altough a new Jyotisher I am quite curious about it. Could someone please give a clue of how to find it out. I just turned upside down my BPHS book and did not find this subject on it. Please would you tell me? Thank you all very much for it. Your faithfully, Lúcia do Vale.
Guest guest
Lucia, The 64th navamsa is located at the cusp of the 8th house where the Moon or ascendant is located. For example, if your ascendant is located at 3 degrees in Aries (the first navamsa in Aries which is from 0 to 3 degrees 20 minutes), the 64th navamsa is located in Scorpio (from 0 to 3 degrees 20 minutes). This is a very sensitive area for most people. If malefic planets, especially Saturn, transit this point, the planet can cause harm or disturbance to a person's life. KN Rao states that the 64th navamsa from the Moon is more sensitive than from the Ascendant. You should read books written by KN Rao and Dr. Charak who discuss these points clearly. Regards, John R. p.s. you should read up on the 22nd drekkana also. --- Lucia Do Vale <luciadovale wrote: > Dear members, > hello! > > > What I must like in being part of this list is: > everytime we put a question at least one person > answers it, if we are lucky, then we have plenty of > replayings. Guest guest
Dear members, hello! The 64th Navamsa is easy to calculate. In the Navamsa Chart, the 4th house from the Navamsa Lagna is the 64th Navamsa of the Lagna. So the 64th Navamsa of any Graha (Planet) is always the 4th house from that Graha in the Navamsa chart. The planet(s) occupying this navamsa cause sometimes great danger, terminal disease etc during the dasha or bhukti of such planet(s). It is a sensitive point. Only more research can throw more light on the subject. Even I think that this is not mentioned in Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra. It must have come up in later books possibly in the last 700 years or so. .
