Guest guest
Dear List I erased some emails and i could not get the source of the following quotations. Those quotations are indicated with <> and my text do not have any marks like that <>. <<This is why in Hinduism and Islam the female body was fairly covered to reduce the allurement .>> Hinduism is about 5,000 years old and Islamism is also old. Although both religions have developed in their traditions, i do not think that this is the case regarding women. <<to reduce the allurement>> I think that some people may have problems with that but not everybody. It is a question of nature or education. I remember in my student days how we students of architecture used to have nude models to learn how to draw human bodies and to learn the beauty in nature. We used to take things as a natural cause but some students from other schools (ie, political sciences, engineery etc) used to come to try to see throught the curtains on the windows. There was a difference in education. Women are respected in religious scriptures but i have hear some stories among some so call spiritual practicioners that only reflect their fears, illusions or ignorance. Females by nature are different to men and they have their right to follow their natural tendencies. To be beautifull is not a sin. Lipsticks, ornaments etc are natural to women and there is nothing anti-religious on it. It is natural, it is similar to having flowers. there is an old Nahoa (mexico) saying "I am passing through this world without leaving anything?.....let me leave at least flowers at least songs". (nada en este mundo he de dejar?..al menos cantos, al menos flores.) We should try to get away from the conditionment that women are maya or worst. We should learn as men to offer our respects to ladies. <<The Taliban position is too extreme denying womensufficient sunlight and thus injuring their health .>> I do not if their health was injured in this way (the Victorians had a similar mentality regarding dress) but i know that the Taliban were practicing their power on innocent people and were "experimenting" with their ego trip. Best wishes natabara
