Guest guest
Dear Carol, First of all, a happy New Year to you. My name is Robyn and I am new to the gjlist and am beginning my study of Jyotish. Best wishes from here in south africa and to let you know that there are many, many people here who are praying for the people of new york and america. My own country has gone through the most appalling times and we are slowly recovering from trauma. I think it is now up to individual people to communicate to guard against the power of rogue states and there is no doubt that the internet is going to change, radically and fundamentally, how people communicate. Has anyone done some Jyotish reading on the internet itself as an entity in our global society? (am a freelance journalist and former magazine editor so communications have always been a central part of my life). I so enjoyed your recollections of new york. What a fabulous city it must be, and that strength will pull it through. I have a cousin who lives in new york. My uncle, who was visiting her, was so traumatised, he still can't speak out about it. My best wishes to all Americans in their time of need. Look forward to interesting discussions on Jyotish. Robyn
Guest guest
Dear Robyn, Thank you for your kind wishes and those of your countrymen, and for your commentary "it is now up to individual people to communicate to guard against the power of rogue states.." This is true..not only communicating to guard against rogue states, but communicating to alleviate internal pressures that could bring "rogue" inclinations if not openly aired and resolved beforehand. (Robyn wrote) "Has anyone done some Jyotish reading on the internet itself as an entity in our global society? If there is a birth chart for the Internet, it would likely describe the birth of a gigantic family! If anyone has more information for Robyn, please feel free to write. Best wishes, Carol
Guest guest
Dear Carol, Yes, i quite agree re rogue states. States which consistently disregard international conventions also, in my books, contravene basic spiritual principles which end result must be bad karma. This is one of the reasons I have taken up Jyotish study on the recommendation of my jyotish guru, Robert Koch. Not only for the personal. At this stage I am floundering I must say. But, no doubt, with time things will become clearer.
