Guest guest
Dear Kundalika << My Grandfather, who is also my Guru, doesn't prescribe gems, or encourage their use. Instead he asks natives to pray to a deity, and he is quite fatalistic in his approach. He thinks that what is written in a horoscope will happen anyway, a gem can do little to change it. Every astrologer has his/her own style. Myself do not prescribe gems to the renounced, the sanyass, or those that cannot afford it. But i prescribe to those that could benefit. Because i live in the west i cannot. I cannot recommend to people to pray to a deity, they will not understand it. We have to accomodate our services according to our environment. There are 2 main paths in astrology, fatalism and free will. Both work together. I can prescribe someone to chant a mantra but another thing is his/her will power. I cannot predict his/her will. Yes, there are many things in the horoscope that can be determined but free will cannot be seen. Love is freedom. God gaves us freedom, freedom to eat meat or freedom to be vegetarians, freedom to kill and freedom to heve mercy. Both tendencies generate a different mentality, karma and destiny. A gem may not change situations but it is our duty to try. An astrologer used to be in vedic times, astrologer, doctor and priest. As a doctor we should do anything possible to prevent or cure an illness. Mantras, gems, herbs, aspirines etc are there for us to prescribe. In many cases aspirines cure headaches, in some other cases there are different treatments. My guru maharaja suffered for years from a terrible migraine. He tried many treatments and doctors and finally, homeopathy cured him completely. I respect your grandad's approach but i have my own style. I am sure that he knows what he is doing. I also conform to these views and these are the best remedies. Manoj Send FREE video emails in Mail! http://promo./videomail/
