Guest guest
Dear Kundalika <<I donot follow planetary relationships at all, the method I am studying talks about qualities of an individual , for eg. number 7 people are supposed to be complicated, intense and difficult. I am a number 1 (19 so 1+9=10=1), and my karma number is 8 (19+1+1977). 1 is indicative of leadership qualities, I guess that is why it is associated with Sun. 8 is a mystical number, associated with death, transformation, occult, etc. I find this is akin to reading a Moon rasi chart, with everyone born on that day getting the same reading. 2 is supposed to indicate people who are happy playing second fiddle. In reality, I have found that there are a lot of number 2 people who can be called "top boss". Karma number is supposed to be indicative of your life, your career. >> Very interesting. In 1970 i started to study numerology according to the books written by Dr Raynaud de la Ferriere, a Hatta Yoga teacher. Later on i read about numerology by Cheiro and finally i came across the Numerology book by Harish Johari. I had read Johari's books on vedic masssage and others and found them fascinant. I met Johari once in Amsterdam and he told us that some of his students were in Hawai to take advantage of a solar eclipse. He said that they built boats of paper and load them with certain materials and threw them on a river during the eclipse. Later on, some 2 or 3 days later, they went to the beach to pick up the boats that came back to shore. The materials on the boats that had come back were destined to be used in vedic some rituals. Some of those materials included gems. You may use his numerology which is similar to Cheiro. 1 = Sun 2 = Moon 3 = Jupiter 4= Rahu 5= Mercury 6= Venus 7= Ketu 8= Saturn 9= Mars Cheiro gives to 4 = Uranus and 7 to Neptune, the similarity is there but there is a difference. Now if you look at the Naksatras you see something interesting. Naksatras are ruled like this 1,10,19 = Ketu 2,11,20 = Venus 3,12,21 = Sun 4,13,22 = Moon 5,14,23 = Mars 6,15,24 = Rahu 7,16,25 = Jupiter 8,17,26 = Saturn 9.18,29 = Mercury Here you see that 1 has changed with 7 2 has changed with 6 3 has changed with 1 4 has changed with 2 5 has changed with 9 6 has changed with 4 7 has changed with 3 8 has changed with 8 9 has changed with 5 Or 1/7 2/6 3/1 4/2 5/9 6/4 7/3 5/9 9/5 8/8 = Saturn On first line see 1 at the beginning and at the end. On second line see 4 at the beginning and at the end. On third line see Ketu interchanging (or sambandha, relationship) with Jupiter in what we can call a Tantra yoga because if Ketu is the tail, Jupiter, number 3, is aspecting Rahu. On fourth line see 8 at the beginning and at the end. <<No. I am learning it for my curiosity only, and not practising it. The method that I have studied goes like this: Shuffle the cards, focus on the question. Draw a card, this pertains to the problem. If not satisfied, draw another clarification card. Draw a second clarification card if still not satisfied.>> You can try the low arcana as number=planets and see the magic. <<I didnot know this, thanx:) I remember talking to an astrologer long ago, and he asked me to write 406 when I started anything new. Since he was an acquaintance of my Grandfather, and also his age, I didnt think it was polite to ask him why. I have never understood why, can you tell me why?>> That is part of his magic. You were supposed to have ask, he could have told you something about it. I am sure that one day you will find the answer, unfortunately, his magic is beyond mine and i dont have that answer. But 406 = 1 or your karma number known in the west as the psychic number. <<Let me be very frank in my observation of the various prediction tools I have studied. I have found that astrology (both Western and Vedic), make much more sense, and are more accurate. The other forms are too general in their interpretations. While astrology is clear about various parts of an individual's life, other forms are too vague, and leave a lot to the practitioner. >> I have read that Vedic astrology is superior, followed up by palmistry and on third level we have numerology. I think that the more pshychic weapons we have the better we can fight the unseen forces. <<So it is more the practitioner's skills (and intuition), than the art being accurate. However, Palmistry does have a significant level of accuracy. In Chinese astrology, people born in a span of twelve months are supposed to have the same characteristics. I find that extremely funny. The chart of a person, born an hour after me, will be significantly different, with different aspects. How can we then be categorised as Dragon (alongwith everyone born that year), and attributed a fixed set of characteristics? In fact, the more I study other forms, the more I believe in the power and accuracy of astrology. I think that Chiness and Tibetan astrology were a part of vedic astrology at a point in the past. I believe that they are very useful and accurate but unfortunately we do not have enough information about it. Unlike vedic astrology, Chinese and Tibetan astrologies are behind in the west.
