IS OUR EXISTENCE A DREAM OF ANOTHER PERSON??

Dear Partha,

 

My understanding is that we are on this earth to learn things and gain

deeper understanding, for our soul's sake...and that yes, we are "dreaming"

in a sense, because the soul lives forever but needs earth lesson experiences

to polish it, so to speak, until it perfectly reflects the shining Light that

created it--with a deep understanding of why it loves its creator and all

creation.

 

I do not understand why you would hope to die soon, because that appears

to be more selfish than learning as best you can to overcome, for God's own

glory, the challenges you may meet on this earth, so you might help others

reach higher to overcome their own challenges. Beethoven wrote music even

when totally deaf...we can overcome our limitations if we use creative

solutions and refuse defeat even when it seems inevitable; God gives us no

burden too heavy to bear...witness the fact no-one would trade another's

burdens for his own.

 

Christopher Reeve, a paraplegic, keeps his spirits up by stating he knows

science will find a way to regenerate the nerve endings in his spinal cord. I

believe he is correct and that he will be given motion again.Unshakeable

belief in what today will appear a miracle, allows that miracle to manifest.

Faith's leap into reality today eventually becomes known as just another

well-known medically rehabilitative procedure.

I KNOW THAT THIS IS AN ASTRO LIST. KINDLY BEAR WITH ME FOR A

PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTION FOR WHICH I AM SEEKING ASTRO ANSWER.

 

WHEN WE DREAM WE GET TO SEE SO MANY EVENTS. SUPPOSE WE GET A DREAM

WHERE WE ARE FALLING FROM A HILL, WE GET FRIGHTNED AND IMMEDIATELY

WAKE UP. BUT WHEN WE WAKE UP, WE SAY "OH IT WAS ONLY A DREAM".

THE POINT IS AS LONG AS WE ARE DREAMING WE FEEL THAT REAL EVENTS ARE

TAKING PLACE. BUT ONLY WHEN WE WAKE UP THAT WE REALISE THAT THEY WERE

ONLY ILLUSIONS.

 

NOW MY HYPOTETICAL QUESTION IS THAT IS OUR EXISTENCE , THE DAILY

EVENTS IN OUR LIFE----ARE THEY THE DREAMS OF SAY A PARTHA SARATHY WHO

IS DREAMING THIS IN SOME OTHER UNIVERSE. IT MAY BE VERY WELL POSSIBLE

THAT WHEN I DIE(WHICH I WANT TO VERY SOON) THE PARTHA SARATHY IN THE

PARALLEL UNIVERSE WAKES UP ONLY TO REALISE THAT HE WAS KIDDING

HIMSELF ON PLANET EARTH, ARGUING WITH LIKES OF MANY A GREAT VEDANTA

AND JYOTISHYA PHILOSOPHERS.

 

KINDLY NOTE THAT I AM NOT ASKING INSANE QUESTIONS. IF ANY ONE HAS AN

Dear Partha,

You are absolutely right! One day we will awake to find it was all a dream (for

some a nightmare). But, Dear Partha, one doesn't have to die to "Wake Up".

Why even contemplate that...to awaken in this life, in this body, is to be

"enlightened". To (partially) awaken after death is common to all, and

inevitably we're born again and live another dream...maybe a worse nightmare

than before. How many dreams have we already had, how many have we forgotten?

How many times have you awoken in death only to find yourself here again?

Rather put your efforts into "waking" in this life :-)

 

You're not someplace else in a parallel universe...you're here, dreaming the mind's dream.

If I might interject here Partha :-)

The horoscope we read and think so real is nothing more than the mind's dream.

If you feel you need to learn some lesson in this dream you can...that's as

good a dream as any :-)

But when you wake up you'll find the lesson (also) was just part of the dream.
