Jyotish Workshop in Sunnyvale California

An intermediate/advanced Jyotish workshop will be held in Sunnyvale, CA

on the weekend of June 22/23, 2002. The closest airports to Sunnyvale

are San Jose or San Francisco.

 

The teacher is Professor Jaya Sekhar of Bangalore, India. He was

initiated in astrology by his father and has been practicing for more

than 40 years in India and abroad. He has conducted workshops,

presented papers and done consultations in India, France, England, US

and other countries. He has been the President of the Institute of

Astrological Studies, Madras and the Vice President of the Institute of

Indian Astrology, Calcutta. His formal education has been in Physics,

Chemistry and Mathematics. Most recently he taught the all day

intensive on relationships at the ACVA conference in Sadona in November

2001.

 

This workshop is different than most traditional Jyotish workshops.

Each participant will bring two or three charts to the workshop of his

or her choice. Each chart would have been analyzed, before coming to

the workshop by the participant for one aspect, say health, career,

relationships etc. The participant will present the analysis to the

teacher and the class. The teacher will then provide detailed

feedback. Discussion will follow. In addition there will be some time

for questions and answers on other jyotish topics of interest to the

participants. The emphasis will be on problems faced in interpreting

charts of ordinary people with "mixed" indications rather than of well

known people with clear indications. In order to provide an opportunity

for real learning the class is limited to eight participants.
