Guest guest
Dear Sateesh, If a child is still connected to the placenta (within the mother's womb) then it's still connected to the mother, don't you think? If, during a caesar, the infant and placenta are (both) removed before the umbilical is cut, then surely we can say the child has been separated from the mother. I really don't know what the procedure is during a caesarean section...sorry! As for my Son's birth, I recall looking at the clock (directly in front of me) and thinking "The last has come first, and the first last" before the placenta was delivered and the Dr. began the lengthy task of stitching me back together, during which time I was half asleep with exhaustion...I don't recall the umbilical cord being cut. It could have been cut by the time I looked at the clock, I can't say for sure. (My first child was born at 10:50AM, the second at 10:01AM) Best Wishes,Wendy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Wendy Vasicek: Vedic Astrologerhttp://www.members.tripod.com/ganesh_astro/JyotishVidyawenvas (AT) dingoblue (DOT) net.au~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Wendy,Silly question if I may - did they record the TOB as of when he was fullout, or as of when he was fully out AND the umbelical cord was cut?For Caesarians, is the same method of time used, i.e. the cutting of thecord?Sorry about asking the obvious - I haven't given birth yet. Nor causedsomeone else to.Sateesh.========
Guest guest
Dear Wendy, It is much clearer now - I don't know what a Placenta looks like, as I was never fond of Biology much anyway - but I agree with your Logic on the "connection" or otherwise. Many thanks - Sateesh. ======== - "Wendy Vasicek" <wenvas <gjlist> 12 January 2002 12:42 Re: [GJ] Wendy - birth-timing Dear Sateesh, If a child is still connected to the placenta (within the mother's womb) then it's still connected to the mother, don't you think?
