Even before you wrote this post (below) I sat up and took notice when you posted your previous post - because of the depth of your conviction plus my intuition told me to follow this thread closely. I have Sag. lagna, with Jupiter rx in 8th house. I have always maintained a Holy Alter in my home with transmissions through Holy pictures and Statues surrounding us ... (many people say that my home is like an ashram) ... but ... my healthy 19 year old son died one and 1/2 years ago. His death came suddenly and the nature of his death was incongruous to the way he lived his life and what was in his heart. Thank you for this information and I wonder if you will speak more about it. Guest guest Posted January 24, 2002 Report Share Posted January 24, 2002 Dear Chandra and Tarun, Try as I might I cannot find the logic behind this theory of Tarun's and would like to know what the scriptural reference is. As you know my Son was going through a dreadful period for quite some time...so bad I really thought he would not live through it, he almost didn't on several occasions! I have religious statues and pictures in my home and had I read Tarun's post at that time, I might have been tempted to believe there was some connection between my Son's suffering and the statues etc., but my Son is now much improved, has escaped the clutches of his addiction and has a much brighter outlook on life altogether. Nothing has changed in regards to the statues etc., I still have them...so why the improvement in my Son? To my mind it's quite clear to see from my horoscope. During the worst of my Son's suffering I was running Venus/Sun Bhuktis/Pratyantar etc. Sun and Venus are conjunct in 8th sign of Leo. Venus, of course owns the 5th house of children, is afflicted in 8th in Rasi (with Sun) and is afflicted in 12th in Saptamsha (with Sun). My Moon Bhukti (dispositor of Jupiter) began last December and my Son's life is greatly improved. Moon is in 10th in Rasi and 11th in Saptamsha. His Father has finally come good on some of his promises and is about to give him a substantial amount of money...Moon in 10th Rasi, Moon in 11th Saptamsha. To my mind all of this can be clearly seen as the natural sequential unfoldment of His/My karma and has nothing to do with the statues in my home...which I still have!! By the time he (finally) receives the money from his father I will be running Mars pratyantar dasa (in Moon bhukti). Mars owns 11th house of gains and is in 5th house of children. All this is a natural process of karma and has nothing to do with the Holy pictures and statues I have in my home. It's not possible to say more without viewing your chart but I doubt if anyone could rationally attribute the death of your Son to Holy statues. At quick glance the indications are there in both your wife's and your horoscopes. You both have 12th lord Mercury in 5th and for both of you Jupiter is associated with 8th house. You have Jupiter in 8th aspected by Mars and in your wife's horoscope Jupiter is aspected by 8th lord whilst Mars aspects both Jupiter and 5th lord Saturn. I know 8th lord Venus is considered to be always beneficial when he owns the ascendant...lagnesh is charged with the duty to protect the native. But this protection doesn't always extend (in the same way) to others...some effects of 8th will be felt and when combined with the other factors.... The dasas and transits at the time would need to be considered to get the full picture. For both of you transiting Jupiter, significator of children, and transiting Saturn, lord of 5th house, were conjunct in 12th house of "loss". The transit of your dasa lords Moon (wife) and Sun (self) were also triggering this event. For your wife, transiting Moon was opposite transiting Mercury/Venus. But he could also be the eleventh lord and then the situation changes and it may not be indicating about children. Irrespective of the fact that Jupiter in 8th House or Saturn aspects 7th House, whenever a person undergoes severe problems in his life, naturally he tends to remember God and start worshipping. Again a person visits an astrologer or a saint or an elder when he is in trouble only. If you ask that person citing his planetary combination and tell him not to worship I am sorry .... The lost resort to a person is only the Almighty... even you advise him not to do that. .... I am not able to understand. To my mind all of this can be clearly seen as the natural sequential unfoldment of His/My karma and has nothing to do with the statues in my home...which I still have!! You are absolutely right. It is nothing to do with the statues in your home. At any point of time do not remove them. No doubt, Interconnectivity of destiney is there. You can see some extent what manifests to your son from your horoscope. But I feel not entirely. He has his full fledged sanchit karmas accordingly his chart has been made and his dasha pattern and favourable and unfavourable transitory position gives results to him. My father has 8 children including me and i am the eldest. When my father suffered from a severe heart attack. My mother's chart did not show that event. My chart shown it. One of my younger sister's chart shown it feebly. Nothing more. My point here is the individual charts and the planetry combinations play more vital role. Kindly appreciate i am not underestimate the interconnectivity of destiney. All this is a natural process of karma and has nothing to do with the Holy pictures and statues I have in my home.
