Both sides may show very good arguments for their case. The vedas say that Lord Krishna within the heart of every living being and in the form of Paramatma, is giving advice to the soul according to his/her propensities. By this, the revealed scriptures does not say that A or B is right. It is according to the karma and tendencies of a soul that the advice is given. In the end, a soul may see the truth path or may not see it at all. Feel free to follow your intuition (Paramatma). Lord Krishna has His own divine plan.
