Below is a description of the Four Personality Types taken from a book entitled

"Whats Your Type".The basic theory is that all people fall into one of these

categories and it becomes there dominant temperament for life , with one of the

others being a seconday temperament. This temperament effects everything from

your outlook , to your style of dress ,work habits and relationship skills.I

was having a conversation with another Astrologer and as we started to discuss

these four types , and we began debating about what Astrological correlations

would coincide with these four Types.I proposed that these Types were loosely

based around the Astrological elements.Fire being the Choleric Type, Air being

the Snaguine, Water being the Melancholic, and Earth being the Phlegmatic. My

cohort believes that they relate more to the Zodiac signs , or possibly

planetary strenghth in the Horoscope. What im asking the people on the list is

if they can examine the Four Types and give me feedback as to what Astrological

correlations (if any) these four Persnality Types may symbolize.....thanks

Dear Zamani,

you may want to read: http://www.astrologycom.com/humours.html.

The four personality types are not a new concept: they go back to Hippocrates.

They relate to the four elements:

Choleric: Fire

Sanguine: Air

Melancholic: Earth

Phlegmatic: Water

Hope this helps

best regards

Maddalena
