Hi folks

I found a new job and I have to choose between June and September to

begin.

I prefer June but noticed the date falls between two eclipses, the first

lunar, then solar. Do you think it will harm me in this new job?

Dear Sundari

It is best to pick a good muhurtha within the preferred time frame .Muhurtha

is generally a minor consideratuion and can not overwrite a whole lot of

karma , just modify it imho .When picking the muhurtha bear in mind that

none are perfect .

This is an excerpt from my website for December.

Central Themes:

The theme for this month is magic! Jupiter, the “guru” of the heavens lingers

in the mansion Ashlesha. She is known for her feminine magic. Her deities are

the Nagas: Serpent beings. They are a mixture of human, god and serpent. They

swim between the worlds of matter, spirit and magic. They are tricksters.

They might give you just what you want, but they won’t help you be happy with

it. Jupiter expands everything he touches. As he slows to a stop on Dec. 4th,

our connection with magic strengthens. How will it manifest in your life?

Jupiter here is prone to telling stories, well, they can really be lies. We

are all feeling the pull to embellish somewhere. Jupiter is belief systems:

Will you cling to a religion whose beliefs offer salvation for the chosen few?

Will you be expansive? Would you fight for your beliefs? Can you concede that

all religions stem from man, and yet the great gurus or avatars transcended the

petty politics of mankind? Are you ready to stretch into faith? Are you afraid

of the faith of others? Here, the seduction is self-righteousness. Look around

you. It is easy to fall prey to the dark magic of fear. This stimulates

religious fervor in the fearful. It can also stimulate resurgence in feminine

magic. Reach for compassion even when your thoughts are filled with dread.

Create a little magic: Plant a bulb and tend to it. Feed and water the bulb

pregnant with potential. Offer it sun, shade, rich soil and water. Know that

as it grows so does your spirit, faith or capacity for love. Take it a step

further. Ask to be reminded as soon as you step into self-righteousness.

You’ll find simple responses make this clear. “I’d rather not be around those

people.” “They are all ignorant and don’t look at the facts.” The words will

change but the feeling and bodily response will remind you when you cross that

line. If you can become aware, you can turn this around. It is imperative

that we find connection. If we want to turn the tide of world events, we will

have to turn adversarial thoughts into magical creation and connection. Let’s

learn from the wisdom of Jupiter not indulge in his egotism.

The Solar Eclipse on the 4th can be seen in Australia and Africa. Expect to see

these continents in the news. Uprisings, revolts, terrorism or change of rulers

are all possible and even likely. The events from the week before to the week

after will have long-reaching consequences. Aggression will quickly be

squelched. Unfortunately, aggression is likely

This eclipse incorporates two powerful fixed stars: Aldebaran, the “eye of the

bull” and Antares the “heart of the scorpion.” Aldebaran falls in the

Pleiades. It is associated with righteous action and with Antares righteous

For our purposes, we will keep it simple. During this day and the coming 6

months righteousness will be seductive. We have the chance to reach for

spiritual peace but will be seduced by the desire to be right or “righteous” in

many ways. It might come in the form of a religion or belief system. It could

take the form of a political party or ideology. The challenge comes to shake it

off and walk a path of internal peace. Jupiter is a powerful planet of

religion. He is most powerful during this eclipse and dances with Pluto the

god of the underworld. Expect to hear tails of religious anger, intolerance

and yes, violence. We are reminded of the power of the mob. I just read about

the riots in Nigeria. The place where the women peacefully negotiated with

Chevron Texaco this summer, the men rioted in the streets. The protest was the

Miss World beauty pageant. I’m not a fan of these pageants but that 100+ people

would die and a church burned because a beauty pageant was coming to town is

beyond my comprehension. A man on the street was interview. His said something

akin to: “If our views are disrespected we have a right to respond like this!”

Notice your tendency to blame. Watch and see which mob is most seductive. Is

it faith or is it tribalism?

Regarding the war on terrorism. The planetary indicators are strong for war.

They are also strong for a very swift war. This eclipse axis hits Saddam

Hussein’s chart directly. The ancient lore of these stars suggests that he

will be killed, possibly stabbed. While that seems unlikely in the modern era,

the lore often manifests literally. I like to hold the vision that he trades

his regime for the lives of his family and the safety of his people. I still

hold the vision that war is not necessary and that this is a global game of

“chicken.” Hussein appears to be complying with the weapons inspectors, but

his chart suggests that cannot be trusted. He may also have a serious health

condition.

Colin Powell was born just a few days after Saddam Hussein. His chart however is

very different. Where Hussein’s perceptions are fear-filled and brutal,

Powell’s are expansive and humanitarian. Both have a warrior history. One uses

terror to attain and hold power. The other uses wisdom to navigate

international relationships. Powell’s optimistic and compassionate perspective

sits just opposite to George Bush’s intense chart. Powell has obviously been

placed in the position of the foil for foolish actions. GWB will hear him even

when he would rather not. They will form a bond from this experience. It

appears that Powell’s influence is strongest at this time. He will hold the

reins and offer truth to the president and be remembered for his courage and

integrity for years to come. He is also a worthy opponent to Hussein and will

naturally have insight into the process of change.

The intense eclipse energy triggers the chart I use for the United States. It

is important to remain vigilant. Open enemies will become more virulent in the

coming 3months. They will not succeed, but only because individuals were aware

and responded to things that simply did not “seem right.” Sharpen your

antennae. There will be false alarms and people who are falsely accused. The

truth will slowly surface, but some will suffer during the process. The

challenge is to avoid the seductive mob.

How the Loves Grows: Venus spends the entire month in her favorite

constellation, Libra. Since late November, she has gained momentum. Mars, the

planet of passion is gaining momentum. He follows her all month. The classic

boy chases girl dance played out in the heavens. It is light and playful.

Venus is strong so everyone is a little more polite. This is a great time for

new and old romance. Venus is strong, and she looks good. Mars is cordial and

willing to get along. On the 14th they are very close. The pull to win the

game is strong as well. Take care on the 13th through the 16th. Your need to

manifest your desire could impair your vision. Try to go slower while enjoying

the moment. This placement is good for peace…at least for the month of December

in the US.

Where the Money Flows: Venus is the planet of love and money. She is strong

and should stimulate buying. She enjoys beautiful and meaningful gifts, but do

not underestimate her desire for beauty. She will spend a little extra if she

finds beauty in the item. The economy should slowly grow as confidence grows.
