Guest guest
Hi, I just found out something interesting. Some of you may know it already but new for me. It is usual to say that the Moon revolves around the Earth. This is not exactly right and it is important to correct it - especially in astrology more Moon-centered than Sun-centered, like Jyotish and probably Chinese and other oriental astrology. The Moon is not actually a satelite of the Earth, but the Earth and the Moon make up one binary system just like binary stars, revolving around each other. Our Sun is rather a exception to the rule that most stars are binary system and have a companion star and revolve around a common center. The Earth and the Moon revolve around a common point called the barycentre, which is approximately 2922 miles from the Earth's center, about 1000 miles inside the Earth. This is an important awareness realizing that they are one not two and separate. No wonder body and mind are connected and influence each other. And also why Chandra is used as anoter Lagna.
