Guest guest
Dear Zoran, dear Sonia and list, it will be interesting to have a discussion on the similarities and differences between these two charts. It would be even more interesting if you or other members have other charts regarding seizure problems to put on-list and compare. Native's data (Lahiri): Lagna: 23 Le32 Sun: 16 Aq 13 Moon: 25 Vi 32 Mars: 6 Sg 56 Mercury: 20 Cp 46 Jupiter ®: 1 Le 36 Venus: 27 Pi 44 Saturn: 9 Sc 42 Rahu: 19 Sc 42 Ketu: 19 Ta 42 The native started having seizures after an accident causing damage to the head. After many years death occurred presumably during a fit. If you need the complete birth data and other details I will have to ask for the relevant permission. In this chart 3L Venus is in Pisces in 8th Jupiter (5L and 8L) in 1st aspects Venus closely (although there is a change of sign of course) Mercury is in 6th, closely aspected (according to Systems' Approach) by Ketu 1L Sun is in Aquarius Mars is closely aspected by Jupiter too, in this case. Of course, Saturn (6 and 7L) aspects the 1st and Jupiter (although with a large orb) I'm looking forward to your opinions. Mercury is significator for nerves, sensorium, while shani also indicates neurological problems. The aspect of Mangal should be there to indicate fits..Rahu is akin to shani, so Rahu' influence would also participate in problem.. Best wishes, Zoran Maddalena Cecchinato wrote: Dear Sonia, thank you for your quick answer. In a way, you shouldn't be paying too much attention to what I say, as I'm just a beginner in Jyotish and I'm very influenced by my western astrology background.I have recently seen another chart (just one mind you) regarding seizure problems, where Aquarius and Pisces and the 8th house were prominent and Mercury was afflicted in 6th (so there is a difference). In one of my books, a medical western astrology book, Pisces is correlated to brain (not only feet) and Aquarius is correlated to seizures. This book is probably more theoretical than empirical, but I find it interesting nonetheless.Mercury is messages, therefore neurotransmission as well.So Mercury, debilitated and retrograde in Pisces, seriously afflicted by 6th lord Jupiter (exalted: therefore very strong, and in 1st: body, first part of life) and combust by proximity to the Sun, is very weak indeed and very vulnerable to transits.Mercury is also lord of 3d, so 'communication' problems indicated again. In the first month of life, the pratyantara was initially Jupiter. On 8th april transiting Jupiter would have made that aspect to Mercury exact...Jupiter aspects Venus in 8th/Aquarius too. The aspect is not full according to Jyotish (say only 80% instead of 100%) as it is to the eigth sign/house from himself (one removed from the seventh), but the aspect has a very close orb again...There are other afflictions in the chart that would aggravate the situation. ... you see, this is not really classical jyotish. Only some schools of thought give importance to exact aspects in the Rasi chart I think (although of course an exact aspect turns up as conjunction in some vargas, like D6 for Jupiter and Mercury in this instance). And Saturn is the significator for nerves I think. It would be good to know the experienced members' opinions on this. My apologies for being vague. Could u please elaborate on the exact aspect (within 1 degree) of exalted 6th lord in 1st to Mercury combust in Pisces and think this may be significant. I'm a green horn and very eager to learn. Tks Sonia Maddalena Cecchinato <maddalena.cecchinato (AT) tiscali (DOT) it> wrote: Dear Sonia, thank you for this quiz. This is indeed a good way to study astrology.I have noticed the exact aspect (within 1 degree) of exalted 6th lord in 1st to Mercury combust in Pisces and think this may be significant. I would like to know what you intended by fits: were they seizures? Best regards Maddalena The native had fits as a result of very high fevers which caused grave damage to the brain. She’s a ‘vegetable’ and can only laugh, cry and scream inappropriately. I’m not sure what caused the fever. The last time I saw her was when she was 19. The parents tried everything possible but to no avail. Guest guest
Dear Maddalena, Sonia and Zoran and List, Hi Maddalena! Nice to see you on here. The chart that Maddalena is speaking of is my younger brother's chart, who just passed away on March 4th. I am happy to share his birth data: February 28, 1951, 18:19, San Pedro, CA, USA Also, want to add that Jupiter is karaka for brain. Personally, I haven't had much time recently for the lists but hope to soon. I can answer any questions regarding my brother's life and chart. This chart that you posted Sonia is interesting, many thanks. May you all have a wonderful Easter. Blessings, Patrice
