Guest guest
Dear Charlesyou <<Thanks so much for your response to my tabulation. I myself have never seen an absolute parallel between these "compatibilities" and what can actually cause a marriage to fail or to succeed. Take the case of my parents who have been married happily for 4 decades. Their nakshastra compatibility is only 9/36. I personally believe that this is an important yet not a sufficient condition for marriage success - other factors like possibly what I have seen between agreements in the Rasi and Navamsa charts of the couple definitely apply. Your own personal views have definitely provided constructive support to my own.Thank you.>>me It is interesting what you say about compatibilities. In our experience, we can see that couples in the West and of the old generation, have been together for many years disregarding their problems. Although there are exceptions, most of the couples follow that rule. In our days there is a high rate of divorce in the west. I explain to myself that it is due to karma. Karma somehow has been accelerated to the point that we can see many divorces. I remember of a girl that was complaining to me that her husband "leaves the tooth-paste tube open" and the "bulb light on when it is not needed". Any excuse is valid in our days to look for separation. And we cannot say that some cultures are better because discrepances are appearing everywhere. In 1997 i heard of a boy of 23 jumping from a 4th floor to escape getting married the next day. His uncle told me that the marriage was arranged and that the boy felt that he did not want to go throw the ordeal. He told me that perhaps something was wrong with his culture and that arranged marriages had to be sorted out. I have to say that the boy survived but lost some internal organs and his uncle died later on of natural causes. As astrologers we are given some tools to work out destiny, but according to our advancement we are given the eyes or knowledge to see beyond the unseen karma. I have seen very advanced vedic astrologers at work and what they say may be beyond understanding, but after a "post mortem" of the charts, everything is clear and it fits with what they have said. Therefore, according to our karma and propensities, we all get some challenges. That is why we should act according to our nature and dharma but always avoiding using or abusing our knowledge. Otherwise we will get reactions sooner or later, in this life or in the next. Best wishes Natabara Das
