Guest guest
Hi all, Each month I will try to post my monthly Astro calendar and Moon calendar on my web page http://www11.brinkster.com/astrodev/index.htm This introduction/guidance is mainly for newcomers, because it has been edited only for this month. You have to have handy your vedic horoscope to follow up this calendar. Any questions are welcome. Here there is the Astro calendar for JUNE 2002. The calculations are based on Lahiris ayanamsa and the times given are in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Times are given in a 24 hours clock format. The times for the configurations (conjunctions and oppositions are based on the Raphael's ephemeris. The position of the planets were calculated by me to see where they are in the zodiac, and this is very useful when studying your own chart, or friends, relatives or clients charts. I only put conjunction and opposition of the planets and avoided the especial aspects. The conjunctions of Rahu with the other planets was calculated by me because Raphael gives only the "true" Rahu rather than the "mean" Rahu as advised by Parasara Muni. I want to say many thanks to Marie Christine, the owner of the astrologie-vedique (AT) es (DOT) fr for her observation and suggestion that I was quoting Parasara as the source for the orbe of the planetary combustion. >From this month of June 2002, I have corrected my mistake because it is really the Surya Siddhanta that gives that information. The Surya Siddhanta chapters 9-10 says that the planets become combust when: The Moon is combust when within 12° from the Sun. Mercury is combust when at 14° from the Sun; when retrograde (vakra), only 12°. Venus at 10° or 08° if vakra. Mars 17°. Jupiter if at 12° from the sun. And Saturn at 15° from the Sun. For Rahu or Ketu never indicate that is retro ® because it is always retro. Combustion orbs of the planets are calculated by me as well according to Parasara's advise. You can see them as example: Me (CB) for Mercury in combustion or Me ® (CB) for Mercury retro and combust. But when the planet is entering combustion you will see Com beside the planet's letters. And when a planet is out of combustion you will read O/C. The planets are represented as: Su, Mo, Ma, Me, Ju, Ve, Sa, Ra, Ke, Ur, Ne, and Pl which are easy to read. When the planets enter a retro movement you will read Ret or when they are in aspect and in a retro motion, you will see ® beside the planet. When there is a conjunction of planets you will read cj. When there is an opposition of planets you will read op. Into means when a planet enters a sign. The signs are also easy to read: AR,TA,GE,CN,LE,VI,LI,SC,SG,CP,AQ,PS The exact time for the configuration is indicated and the exact position of the configuration was calculated by using the Goravani Jyotish (GJ) programme. (Thank you very much Das for that facility, it saved me a lot of time). Also, the date and time for entry into signs of all the planets were given by the GJ programme. You can calculate on the GJ to verify the configuration times and positions and you will see their accuracy to within 1' of time. This allowance was made due to the fact that planets "jump few seconds every time" and sometimes their exact position has to be calculated slightly before the exact time. I could have given the entry of the planets into naksatras or constellations because the GJ programme gives that facility but i did not want to clog up the calendar (when i transferred into calendar format for people to hang on their walls), and because no many vedic astrologers are following (yet) the transit of the planets into constellations. Vedic astrologers can follow this calendar which i will post monthly in the GJLIST. You can use it for yourself, friends or relatives according to your skills and knowledge as an astrologer. It is a nice present to give and it will enhance you position as astrologer to others. Your own knowledge, skills, and intuition will tell you how to take advantage of this information. >From time to time tips from astrologers will be welcome. Some of my tips are here for you to hear. I have observed that some people with a conjunction of Moon with Saturn in their horoscope, (the closer those planets, the more evident the symptoms will be especially at some sensitive planetary configurations), will have the tendencies to have a more depressed or gloomy mentality around the conjunctions of Moon with Saturn. And look out for sensitive people to Moon conjunction Rahu or Ketu. The entry of a planet into a sign will meant something to everybody according to the planets affected in that sign or according to the house transited as seen from the natal Moon sign, ascendant sign, sun sign etc. When a conjunction falls on a degree close to one of your planets, you are likely to be affected depending on the planets in reference and the house involved. An opposition of planets affect more the outer side or the partner more than the individual. When a planet involved in a cj, op or entry of sign is retrograde, it gives more energy to that particular configuration. When a planet is combust, it losses energies to do good and it increases its energies to do bad. When a planet goes Direct, (you will read Dir) indicates a very important change of energy in the sign and degree indicated and also when the planet goes retrograde (you will read Ret). The conjunction of a planet to the nodes, will as well indicate something important, be observant. I did not put dates of the combustion for the moon because although the Surya Siddhanta gives for the moon 12° combustion in orb from the Sun and that indicates a whole moon day before and after (the 15th or new moon and 1st light moon days) the conjunction with the sun. This can be seen from the moon calendar which is as well posted on this GJLIST. We are here as astrologers to help and encourage each other. Astrological observations are welcome and i will be grateful to see them posted either on the GJLIST or on my emails. To be an astrologer is a beautiful profession but it can be a very difficult one. So i hope that this monthly service will help all astrologers to follow easily the message from the planets. I hope that this calendar is useful to you. All the best and best wishes.
