RAHU wants to keep you in maya,bind you to the material world.KETU wants to free you from maya,liberate you. Thus ketu is known as the 'karmic outlet' or 'moksha karaka'. Thus,rahu creates karma and ketu frees you from it. It is sometimes seen that ketu gives material benefits too.My guess is that even that is 'karma washing' or being freed from past karma.----In an absolute sense, both 'good karma' and 'bad karma' are undesirable as they both bind you.-----Thus,if someone makes a 'million' in ketu dasha,it means that the person had tremendous 'good' karma from the past,which is being washed off. Normally, I tell them to do 7 sit-ups' everyday during Ketu Dasa at Ganesha temple or a photo at home.
