Guest guest
The Use of Naksatras in Natal Astrology Work Saturday, August 10, 2002 All, Just wanted to get your thoughts and observations here. In Dasji's program, Goravani Jyotish, there is a feature that allows you to see a multitude of data for a chart that you select. Among the data, is a listing of Naksatras as per that chart's planetary placements. The listing called "Aim" lists the chart's planets in order of the catergory that they fall into: Artha, Kama, Dharma or Moksha. Sometimes, a chart will display a more even spread, whereas at others, the chart will show a marked focus in one of the aims. Take my case for example; I have the majority of planets in my chart, placed in Moksha Naksatras. Of course, this would seem to indicate that I would have an interest in things along "moksha" lines, of which Astrology is one. In fact, such things are such a dominant part of my life, that it is very difficult for me NOT to follow that. I have found that my worst relationships tended to be with women that did not have the same or similar Naksatra "aims" that I had, and I don't mean that they didn't have a thing for Astrology as I did. I mean, that they did not seem to value the same things that I did, even if the Kuta alignments and so on, looked favorable. While nowhere near conclusive, I have found several cases like this, and I wanted to know what you all thought about this proposition. It is interesting that such a situation/technique is not mentioned by any classical or modern author/scholar, to my knowledge. I think this may be a very interesting area of research, and in fact I have one such project in the works. Comments, Anyone? Salaam, Mu ===== Mu'Min M. Guest guest
Dear Mu It would make sense that the man and woman should have the same goal whether it be artha ,dharma, kama or moksha for improved compatibility . The Kuts system meay incorporate it is an indirect way i.e two nakshatras of the same rasi tend to have high kutas . Nice to see you posting again and you make some excellent points in your delineations of Charndr Levi and Cahrlton Heston . Keep up the good work Nicholas - "Mu'Min Bey" <mumin_bey <gjlist> Wednesday, August 14, 2002 3:38 AM [GJ] The Use of Naksatras in Natal Astrology Work > The Use of Naksatras in Natal Astrology Work > Saturday, August 10, 2002 > > > All, > Just wanted to get your thoughts and observations > here. Comments, Anyone? Thanks for bringing that up Mu. This is a good example of why we should try to use our own "discoveries" and intuition besides the classics etc. I have used this 'feature' several times and find it most interesting in cases where there is a clear distinction between charts. In my opinion (and I may be totally wrong here) it can also be used to evaluate peoples common "general line of focus/interest". However as you said, a research is the necessary in order to establish any kind of validity. Kind regards Jay Weiss
Guest guest
Vyam Vyasadevaya Namah Dear Mu and Jay, This matching of Ayanas is taken into account when matching Navamsas. All grahas in the Nakshetra Pada of; Dharma, will fall in fiery signs in the Navamsa, whilst those in Artha, will fall in Earthy signs, etc. This is however Nakshetra Pada, also nakshetras themselves are overlorded by an Ayana, yet we match Nakshetras in a different mannor, by seeing the Vedhak, relations between them. Best wishes, Visti. - "Jay Weiss" <jayhw (AT) telia (DOT) com> <gjlist> Friday, August 16, 2002 9:47 AM Re: [GJ] The Use of Naksatras in Natal Astrology Work > Dear Mu,> > You wrote:> > It is interesting that such a situation/technique is not mentioned by> > any classical or modern author/scholar, to my knowledge.> > ......
