YEs, I subtract 23 minutes from Lahiri, so if Lahiri subtracts 24:23 I

subtract 23:00. So each planet is 23 mintues further along in the zodiac. A

planet at 29 50 Aries Lahiri will be at 00:13 Pisces.

 

I use Atmakaraka extensively, and I have had much better results with this in

borderline cases than with Lahiri.

23 min. from Lahiri makes you use an ayanamsa which is only 23 seconds after the

Deva-Datta ayanamsa.

I have tried this ayanamsa on several charts where the AK planet was at the

"absolute edge" (including my own) with Lahiri but the person did not "fit in".

In my case it is Mercury been either in 29:45 Pisces or 00:00:25 Aries (!) -

some difference ...

I am currently playing around with it until I'll have enough evidence that it really works better.
