Guest guest
Dear Ernst, >thank you for the confirmation on the Sadasiva Ayanamsa, where did you >hear about that one? I would like to look into their basis. The Deva-datta ayanamsa is given as one of the options in Jagannath Hora Lite, which is a program free for download from Sanjay Rath's website. I don't know further, and a websearch has not given me any results on this. Anyway, I'm inquiring on Sanjay Rath's vedic astrology list... let's see. I have tried it out on a couple of charts and find it quite good. E.g. one chart indicated the first child to be a boy with Lahiri, while actually it was a girl, and 5th lord in Saptamsa switches to the next sign, giving a debilitated Mars which would indicate a girl with the Deva-datta ayanamsa. Another chart predicted an unhappy childhood, while the child is happy like anything, having Saturn switching from one sign to the other. Thus, I can honestly say I do get good results from this ayanamsa. I'm sure there must be many more examples... Yours sincerely, Dhira Krsna dasa
Guest guest
Dear Dhira Krsna, I'll let the experts answer in detail. I only know that parallaxed can be quite a few minutes from geocentric and I assume that it is the topocentric (local) Moon-coordinates. The pratyantaras can change significantly and the starting and ending dates of mahadasa and bhukti change too. I hope I have not given you a wrong answer.
