All,

DKAYs are very important and powerful combinations

that fall under the Raj Yoga classification. In the

lexicon of Vedic Astrology, they are considered the

most powerful of this class. The joining together of

the lords/rulers of an Angular and a Trinal House

represents the meaningful and timely coming together

of a person's actions/angular at the right time/trinal

- or, in other words, doing the right thing, at the

right place and at the right time. This is why one

will tend to witness such people throughout life, that

always seem to be "right on time", achieving something

meaningful in their lives.

DKAYs also speak a great deal to one's purpose in

life, especially if it involves the 9 and 10 houses.

The nature of the planets themeselves often are great

clues as to what the person will find succes and

happiness/fulfillmment in.

Of course, these combos are at their most powerful

when their Dasas are activated; and, it must also be

said, that the inherent condition and strength of the

planets involved have to be looked at also. If the

planets forming DKAY are in some way damaged, either

by Sign placement, malefic association or aspect, or

being greatly weakened in the Navamsa in some way, we

can expect there to be little results gleaned from the

DKAY, if any at all.

There is also the question of which correct Dasa to

use. I often make use of Vimshottari Dasa, as

calculated from the Asc degree position. I do same

with Yogini Dasa, which often helps me to narrow down

the focus. If one is having trouble assessing

correctly the results and timing of certain

combinations in a chart, more often than not, it is

due to that fact that they have not done the

afore-mentioned.

Hope this helps.

Salaam,

Mu
