Guest guest
Dear Members, just when so much is being said about the ayanamsha, I "happened" to bump into this site: http://www.aaronsrod.com/time-cycles/ : Exegesis of Hindu Cosmological Time Cycles by Dwight William Johnson. The ayanamsha is not the main issue in this work, but it is calculated as starting on 10 May 756 Julian calendar. Does this give an ayanamsha around 6 degrees and 31 minutes less than Lahiri?? Or what is the difference between the Julian calendar and our calendar? I'd also appreciate if the astronomically minded could give their opinion as to the accuracy and/or interest of this work Regards Maddalena
