Guest guest
Om Vishnave Namah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Raghu das and other Jyotishi friends, At 08:14 AM 9/30/02 -0700, you wrote: >Hello > >Was that letter I just got REALLY from Sanjay, as it seemed, or his main man >or something? >Didn't we just read about RK being an important Guru for SJVC? >Is this a fake letter, intended to be discrediting misinformation? >What's up? >I imagine I'm not the only one wondering. Let me fill you in on a what has been happening. A very disturbed and delusional soul - who formerly had an administrative position within SJVC - has embarked on an incredulous and destructive path of trying to sabotage the brilliant Jyotish movement of Sri Sanjay Rath, know as SJVC (Sri Jagannath Vedic Center). Here is some brief history: Dinanatha das (so he is named), was the first secretary of SJVC appointed by Sanjay Rath to start incorporation legalities in the USA, and did so within the state of New Jersey with the help of HK devotees Kusa devi and her husband, Sruta Kirti das. After the mission grew, with the addition of my esteemed colleagues and friends Brendan Feeley, Laksmi Kary, Sat Siri Khalsa, Narasimha Rao, and then myself, a board of administrators had been formed to conduct the curriculum and administrative affairs of SJVC USA in a more organized way. So Sanjay appointed me as "SJVC guru" of North and South America (a title which I am humbled to assume, as I feel everyone is my guru and my purpose is to serve all of you), which basically means spiritual advisor and ultimate authority on curriculum and internal affairs of the mission; Brendan was appointed President, and Laksmi, secretary and signing officer. We three, on the request of Sanjay Rath, thus assumed the duties of core administrators for the mission. In a short amount of time, Dinanatha evidnetly became discouraged that his position had been diminished, and started to speak to Brendan and Laksmi in such vile and reprehensible terms, that I could not repeat them in a public forum. Sanjay Rath and myself tried to encourage him to work cooperatively, and try to practice his sadhana such that he could purify his heart of malice, and diffuse his unreasonable anger, but he did not. After repeated efforts to correct this young man failed, it was up to me, in consultation with Sanjay Rath, to exercise the very unhappy and painful duty of expelling him from SJVC entirely. Under normal circumstances, a gentleman would step down, apologize, and go his separate way. Instead, this fueled his anger to catastrophic proportions, and now he has chosen - in every way possible - to hi-jack and sabotage the good name of SJVC, and publicly defile and disgrace those who had been hand-picked by Sanjay to head this mission in the US. Needless to say, this has caused considerable confusion and bewilderment in the minds of many, especially my students who trust me to bring them my knowledge of Jyotish, and especially a consciousness and way of being that is consistent with the true tenets of Vedic scripture and culture. It is indeed a very unhappy event when someone chooses to embark on a path which is not only destructive to many, but unfortunately more karmically damaging to him than anyone else. Maybe Sri Krsna and all the great teachers and gurus before us, will forgive this young man for wreaking havoc in a very highly esteemed environment of Jyotishis and Jyotish students. In the meantime, if an elephant enters into a garden, and destroys all the flowers there, we can only wait until he leaves, and then plant again. With love, and deep respect to all, Robert ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Robert A. Guest guest
Dear List, Robert's email sounds fair to me, it is gentle and concise, and I applaud him in writing to us. Any time someone writes email purporting to be Sanjay and is not Sanjay, that person is committing fraud. Robert is well advised to inform Das that the email supposedly from Sanjay was false. The particulars of the matter are by now, less important to me than the fact now known, that someone apparently committed a crime of self-misrepresentation in order to harm another person. Compounding the fraud is the malevolent idea attempting to follow through. I have been wrestling with a similar situation (someone misrepresenting self to the detriment of others) in my own life, and I wish to have the calm manner Robert has! Robert is to be commended for his kind response. And his many fine contributions to Jyotish! Best to all, Carol
Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Robert, If you feel that this problem is worth the public eye, then please realise that some people on Goravani list know what Dinanathas claims are, and realise that you aren't revealing the whole truth about this, in your mails. The pivot of the problem, as agreed by Sanjay, Narasimha, Dinanatha and me as well, and probably others, is due to some personal decissions that you have made with regards to sjvc-policy.. Lets not say more. The difference between us and Dinanatha, is in the mannor through which we tried to solve the problem. So in good spirit, please don't comment any further on this matter to any other lists outside the sjvc-administration. Dinanatha has been silenced because of his way of handling this issue, which was/is completely irresponsible.. not due to the issue at hand. Mum's the word, i leave it to our Gurudeva.
