Guest guest
Just thought it would be interesting to find out when the Pascha festival was held in those days in Jewish circles. It is mentioned in the Gospel of Luke that Jesus's parents each year traveled to Jerusalem on the occasion of Pascha, and on such travel Jesus was born. Was it celebrated in spring, as we know it now, or was it celebrated in November? My Bible states that Pascha used to be celebrated in the first month of the year, on the day of the New Moon. Now we must know that the Jewish calendar started the year from what we presently know as October-November. Thus I think Pascha should have been celebrated in autumn, which is logical, as it included offering the harvest of the fields to God on that occasion.
