"If you give a man a fish he will be able to eat, but if you teach him to fish, he can feed himself." May I suggest a couple of books to read by Ernst Wilhelm. I have been "fooling around" with mystic arts for quite some time now, but only recently became serious about Vedic Astrology, in part because of the unusual terminology. Ernst's books are extremely insightful, as well as being easy to read. And they are not overly expensive as may of these types of books tend to be. The period of rulership of any planet at the time of birth depends upon the rulership of the planet on the nakshatra. your nakshatra lord at the time of your birth is jupiter. your vimsottari dasa starts from jupiter, saturn, mercury, ketu, venus and in that sequence. The planets shows their results in their own sub-periods depending on their strength and weakness. I am having my Vedic chart done on the 28th so i am looking forward to a bit more explanation .. It wil be interesting to say the least and I have always been one to want to have some knowledge as to what I am getting information on .. always get the information from more than one source if necessary ..
