Yogi Karve - a disappointment

Dear List members:

Unfortunately, I did not recive a good impression of

Yogi Karve or the manner in which he reads.

To begin with, I was under the impression he divines

the horoscope intuitively. However, I was requested by

my host to have a print out and since I did not bring

one , he printed it out. That print out was in the

possession of my hosts for more than fifteen minutes

while they contacted Yogi and his son upstairs

privately. It is clear to me that information was

passed on.

At my meeting, Karve appeared to be reading the

positions ituitively but since on NO other question

was he able to be accurate or say something that even

a modest knowledge of astrology would have told you, I

am now convinced that the print out had been shown to

him while I was engaged otherwise. Perhaps he does

have a remarkable ability - to memorize plantery

posiitons swiftly ie. like some mathematical savants

he is able to keep in mind a number of positions in

his head. But I dont believe he does this without

seeing the chart. That is just advertising.

I hate to suggest this of my gracious hosts but

perhaps they feel that Karve needs such help once in a

while so that clients are more believeing. I must say,

if that is the case, it amounts to fraud.

I came to Karve believing him to be a great intuitive

and spiritual master - I was deeply disappointed. I

have had far better readings on the street corner of

my home town. I had actually asked about a job from

which I had resigned because it was unworkable for me.

He insisted not to make any changes until 2004.

However - it is quite clear to me why he said that -

my moon period ends at that time - I was quite aware

of that already and it is clearly marked on the chart

- any astrologer of some ability can make such an

assessment

after a glimpse at the chart.

The only times Karve guessed something on his own he

was wrong - he got the date of leaving high school and

getting through college wrong by 2 years each. The

only thing he said accurately was that I had married

out of caste - and that can also be seen from the

chart. He wasnt able to say anything about the

marriage at all on his own.

As for his chart rectification - I doubt he is

accurate on such fine points when he is wrong on

others which are much bigger.

Many things which he said even a non-astrologer let

alone a profound psychic would tell you - I am 42, he

said it would be difficult for me to have children -

sorry that is quite obvious, dont you think?

I am sure I will upset the true believers on this list

but I have heard so many remarkable stories about this

man. For 75-100 dollars any other competent

astrologer will give you an entire detailed analysis,

and guidance that is evry specific for your entire

life.

I feel vedic astrologers tend to hype their spiritual

and psychic abilities as a PR gimmick - that appears

to be the case with Karve, at least for me.

I hope others who go have a more positive experience.

I did not, despite, the charming presence of Saba and

Curry. It was only after I left that circle of charm,

that I was able to see clearly what had happened.

Sorry to be blunt - the whole episode has left me with

a really bad taste - if this is what is happening on

the Vedic astro circle, all I can say is CAVEAT EMPTOR

well i knew the reaction to the mail i was sending to the list

server.

i do think that it has been said that even god does not judge the

person till he dies and we mortals have the nasty habbit of

judging people as if we are god.there is no smoke without fire.

i know

peple who trust blindly.and both the persons helping him must have

done it.i would have done it myself and even my whole family would

have would have do it .the trust in real gurus is 100% .we dont

doubt

them when we trust

him .Shri K.N.RAO is one person who has the guts to admit that

he is wrong and he also has the guts to say that he is right and

have been proved right,

that man did not marry and dedicated his life for astrology.

i do think that this unnecessary politeness is a american way.

Shri K.N.RAO has not visitted america since 1995 and he does not

plan to do it again.

swami vivakakanda and shri K.N.RAO both have critised the american

way of thinking that you can buy every thing with money.

And i am here in america for my reasons and i don't

deny that i need to be here and i do hope people do remember that

america is a land of immigrants so it is not a

culture which is too ancient and it can be changed so i rather

contribute to changing to whatever i can change

the materalistic way is the normal way of life here so to say that

you can get any one to pridict for 100 $ is the most stupid

comment i have heard in my life.

try this with rao and other classical pundits in india

and you will understand the respsonce

you will get.

i do think that people should remember the eposide in the

alexander life in india when he wanted to take a saint to greece

and he refused and he used all possible means to take him to

greece and even threatned him .but the classical reply to

alexander was that i am the sprit and the sprit never dies.and the

alexander had the humility to ask for forgivness and the saint

forgive him .that the main reason alexander is still remembered .

he was a great human being and knew how to say that i am sorry.

your oun personal experiences does not mean that it becomes a fact

that yogji was telling you lies or cheating with you.

there are thousands who will not even look at your horoscope eevn

if you give amy amount of money.

in india the education is considered as charity and you have to

bow before the teacher to get

the

education and should

him respect form heart and he will give you free his life time of

hard work and he will not ask any thing from you .

try getting it for money and you will never get it.

i had the privilage of studyig under many shuch teachers so i know

what i am saying.

i never ment to hurt any one but i have been seeing this again and

again .

as for rao try to learn about him you will understand why i am so

loyal to him.them say some thing about him.

belive me only few astrologer in this list are good like inderjeet

and few others but none equal to rao.

again too blunt i know that try to understand why i m too blunt.

if rao would have been there he would have given me a fitting

reply as to my questions .

lets see how esteemed the list servers members are and how good

they are

i still say rao rao writing are the best .

well hope chryss

be able to reply to the mail as to why i wrote such a blunt mail

..and no horoscope

Shri rao can do it hope any one else can also do it
