Guest guest
I was asked by someone on the list if I could elucidate more on my use of tertiary and minor progressions in my work. For my other western work, I use Solar Fire 5, and it is very easy to create lists of minor and tertiary progressed hits or aspects, whether they be to natal factors, progressed factors, or even to natal midpoints. I have found them to be extremely accurately timed correlations events in my life, chiefly if one uses outer planets (Jupiter through Pluto) as the progressed factors. I recently had a clients whose mother died on the exact date that her tertiary progressed Pluto made a tridecile to a planet in her chart. In my own chart, I was summarily fired from the job that I had on the exact day of the exact opposition of minor progressed Saturn to minor progressed Pluto (don't worry, my situation actually improved); the reason for it was rather embarrassing and severe. I was in a minor period of a planet in my sixth house at the time. More recently, on Feb 5, during a minor progressed Sun conjuncting my Moon, I had a long good conversation with a female friend. On Feb 9, minor progressed MC exactly opposed my Sun/Moon midpoint; this was a day that I took an excursion to the art museum with another female friend, but actually it was more of a date. On Feb 18 and 19, minor progressed Neptune aspected my natal Moon/Jupiter midpoint, and minor Jupiter aspected my Sun; it was on these days that a lady from Russia got ahold of my email address and wanted to start a relationship, she sent me her picture and everything; she's pretty. I am at this time in a Venus-ruled bhukti, which also rules my seventh house. One just needs to run some printouts on tertiary and minor progression in one's or one's clients life; and one will start to see results right away. Like I say, these "esoteric" aspects, now easy through computers; deliver impressive results; they make you look amazing in the eyes of clients. Even though my examples above would say otherwise, I find tertiaries more external, and minors somewhat more emotional/internal. Guest guest
Hey Curtis Great post. It's important to track all this stuff in one's own life just to get a feel for how the planets might be working. Takes some work though. I've been surprised how useful the minor can be. Funny, because early on Houck didn't pay any attention to them and dismissed them in his books! Only later did he suggest to me that they were useful. I find they are more useful than tertiaries, although I rely on them both. I also like to take a look at various vargas of the progressed charts.
