Guest guest
Hi Trish: Yes, I found the whole exchange enlightening too, and I also agree about Mars. Today, in fact, I'm agitated and realize that TR Mars -Capricorn (oppose Jupiter-Cancer) is squaring Aries Sun and my natal Moon and TR Mercury in Aries (perhaps the degrees are not that close, but it is a lot of fire and feels quite emotionally intense!) The malefic/benefic discussion is not conclusive in my mind concerning Jupiter since Jupiter is also atmakaraka in my chart, but I understand Sateesh's meaning about being mixed malefic/benefic because he rules H-6 & H-9, and agree that the mixed effect is true of Mars as well. And in addition, the discussion gave me an important key since Mars (opposing my crowded H-1) is within 5* of natal Sun & Saturn now . Still I liked Cynthia's metaphor of Fierce Optimism for the opposition, and I am trying to remember to choose that, since the Martian combustion may bring about postive change or resolution despite the present discomfort. Yes, the transits, etc. I know that BY DEGREE,I stretch the planetary configurations too far (in Vedic but not in Western). However loosely configured, I feel that the Venusian Libra Full Moon is a cardinal anchor (in the Grand Cross) in bringing peace, harmony, balance, and beauty, individually for me, and collectively, it is hoped, in Iraq and the world. Even later as the opposition DOES become more exact (and it's more of a T-square with TR Sun and TR Mercury Rx), the meaning for me is that the Libran harmony and balance will be there throughout the Lunar cycle, just unmanifest and unconscious. I intend to keep this conscious thought in the hope that Jupiter's presence, though "farther away" (in the Full Moon Grand Cross) will also prevail in bringing harmony out of chaos. The Moon will be in Cancer May 8, when the opposition is exact, and I think this will heighten Jupiter's exalted status—the empty kendra in my chart will still be ruled by Libra, and since it is H-4 may be a more personal Lunar cycle-planetary opposition for me about harmony and balance than for others! So your insights, and those of everyone, gave me much to dwell upon, and I also especially liked your perception that a Grand Cross EQUALLY BALANCES the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. Thanks again. .. Satyam Shivam Sundaram Janna http://seven_directions.tripod.com gjlist, bharani@a... wrote: > Hi, Janna. I'm glad my two cents were helpful.
