Let me give you an example: Lagna Cn/ Lagna Lord in 3rd House, Vi- from Vi third is Scorpio, that's AL- cast the chart and look for new positions in this chart. For Upapada lagna /marriage/ do the same procedure from 12th house to it's Lord- you'll get UL. And for any house you can find A2, A4, A5..etc. Anna - Lucia do Vale gjlist Monday, April 21, 2003 4:06 AM [GJ] Arudha Lagna - Dear List, Would anyone - please - tell me if GJ Software calculates Arudha Lagna? Guest guest
Dear Lucia. just as a little complication to Anna´s explanation. there are some exceptions in computing the Arudha Lagna which have to be taken into account. SOME IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS: The following exceptions to the calculation of Arudha lagnas are mentioned in the Parasara Hora Shastra, and should be learned and followed carefully. Otherwise, use of Arudha lagnas with respect to certain dasas systems, will bear incorrect results. The principle controlling the following exception is as follows: the 1st and 7th houses, are concerned the seat of truth in a chart, as they are ruled by Brahma and Shiva respectively. Narayana resides with the stronger of the two, and thus the Narayana dasas are calculated from the stronger of 1 and 7. Now, if the Arudha is the illusory manifestation of a house, then the Arudhas of houses cannot be in 1 or 7, as these are the seat of Satya, or truth. Thus, If the lord of the lagna is in the lagna itself, then the Arudha becomes the 10th house (not the first) If the lord of the lagna is in the 7th house, the Arudha becomes the 10th house (not the lagna) If the lord of the lagna is in the 4th house, the Arudha becomes the 4th house itself (not the 7th) 4. If the lord of the lagna is in the 10th house, the Arudha becomes the 4th house (not the 7th) - Lucia do Vale gjlist Tuesday, April 22, 2003 6:50 AM [GJ] Thank you Anna Dear Anna, Many thanks for the information with instruction and everything.
