Guest guest
Hello friends Some of you, who have Windows-XP operating system, have reported Vjyotish installation error. I have investigated into the causes of error and wish to bring into your notice that Vjyotish is fully compatible with Windows XP. It runs perfectly in Windows-XP environment. However, some times, it may report an error during installation due to some technical reasons. But, this error is insignificant and does not affect the Vjyotish performance in any way. Just click "Ignore" button whenever error is reported during installation. This error is limited to installation program ("vjinstal.exe" ) only. When you run "vjinstal.exe" (the installation file for Vjyotish) after download, to install Vjyotish, in Windows-XP environment, some times it fails to make icons on your desktop and in the program menu. This failure in copying the icon files to appropriate folders causes the installation file to gives error message. Vjyotish icons (and shortcuts) may not appear on your desktop and in the program menu in such cases. This is the only known error reported under Windows-XP. As said earlier, this error is insignificant and does not affect the Vjyotish performance in any way. Just click "Ignore" button whenever error is reported during installation. That's all. After installation is complete, you may have to make Vjyotish short cuts manually on your desktop. You have to run "Vjyotish.exe" situated in your C:\Vjyotish\ folder. If a Vjyotish short cut (Vjyotish icon) does not appear on your desktop, make it manually. I regret for the inconvenience caused to you. This error will be rectified in next version of the program.
