What a nice answer, you really went to pains. Thanks for the heads up about

the other Palm programs.

 

I wrote Parashara's Light and asked if their program did other dasha

systems, and someone wrote back saying that it calculated a lot of things

such as varga charts, this, that, the other, ect. But they didn't come out

and say that it only calculated Vimshottari.

 

I don't mind an upload disk as long as it's the last word, and a download is

fine with me, too.

 

But I have written Moblie Kundli twice now without receiving a reply, albeit

only two days have gone by. What I want is confirmation that the Mobile

Kundli Light contains the variety of dasha systems that are attributed to "

Mobile Kundli " on the site, without confirming that both versions contain

it. Perhaps it is only the more expensive version that has this.

 

I am happy to know that it will function on my Palm Vx.

I have downloaded and evaluated closely both Mobile Kundli and Leo palm as I

also want a palm program for travel and to use. Parasharas light 6 is a pain

in the arse. I won't be buying another progrem off them as you can only load

the program once off the disc and it was full of mistakes, you then have to

update it off their site to fix the mistakes, this makes the disc I paid for

useless. I am not happy with the KP section at all either. I can't take it

to use while travelling. Shit they carry on as if their program contains

world secrets and we are all going to run out and mass copy it.

 

Now Mobile Kundli is produced by Pundit Pandey who is a KP astrologer, so it

has an extensive KP program of house cusps, significators, etc. Its main

benefit is they offer free updates and you can download it after paying for

it. The program is good, it offers all rashi chart, Varga, KP and Varshapala

calculations with true solar return which is all I want. Pundit Pundey has

written back and extensively explained every question I have asked. It also

can be downloaded on any palm from M100 upwards. Leo palm cannot and you

must have a spanking new model and order their disc.

 

Leo palm is an extensive program, maybe better in what it gives for the

money in terms of features, bengali charts, round charts etc, it also has

full Vargas, KP, Varshapala. Its main weakness is you must order a disc, no

downloads and the people give you a one sentence answer when writing to them

about the program. It has been around longer so has a few more things.

 

I am going to buy Mobile Kundli because Pundit Pandey is a KP man like

myself and I trust him to have all the things in KP correct. I like the fact

you can download it and you get free updates. Pundit is always open for

suggestions for improvements for his software. The other main thing is I

have a Palm M100 and M125 which were both given to me buy a person in the

US. Mobile Kundli can be used on all palms. Leo Palm cannot and mainly works

on the more expensive models. You need to download the programs and see for

yourself. The only thing I did not like about Mobile Kundli was the degrees

in KP cusps and planets are in full longitude like 135.45.21 but in the

rashi it is in the normal way like Taurus 23.21 so it is not really a

problem. Just something I will need to get used to. The main thing is

accuracy, both programs seem to be very accurate from my checking.

 

Like I said, I just want calculations for rashi, vargas, KP, KP prashna and

Varshapala with true solar return and Sahams. I can get it all on Mobile

Kundali and load it on both my palms. That is why I will buy that. Leo palm

needs to get their shit together about answering questions about technical

things. Mobile has Pundit Pandey so you are dealing with another astrologer

which I prefer rather than some computer head who knows software but has no

idea of astrology calculations. This is Parasharas Lights biggest problem.

Nobody there seems to have a clue on KP. My friend Henry Jackson who is

probably the best astrologer I know in terms of understanding the

mathematics of astrology and KP, just uses a palm pilot only, his desktop

has a program from Russia that costs $50. It is very very accurate and is a

western program that can be set for Vedic ayanamsha. Henry swears by it. I

cannot remember the site or name of it but could get it if anybody is

interested.
