Dear Christiane & all:

And yes.... Saturn may be in the 9th house....

but his life.... shows....lots of....

Saturnian...qualities....

which would seem to reveal more than the fact that it's with

a good Jupiter....

suffering ....and wisdom... going together....

Saturn and Jupiter ....though they might be considered raja yoga...

still is not a high ranking raja yoga.....

because....saturn and jupiter are enemies....when together....

I think my thought is still correct...

because Saturn seems to be winning over jupiter....

fun!

Good points though.... and because I didn't know his chart...

didn't all these reasons....

why....and from where troubles....come....

good points....

but as you mention.... my point is just that his experience,

his feedback....his.... descriptions....

all alert to Saturn's negative effects....

Even people with great exalted Saturn's can be out of balance

and experience....some kind of exalted grief!

My point then....

is to listen to the subjective reports of the person...

and you can hear the offending planet or planets...

in Das' case..... Saturn is restricting Jupiter...

and as you said....

fully aspecting the Moon which is already being poorly aspected

by rahu & ketu....

My ultimate point here.... is to increase the Wisdom of Jupiter...

to strengthen....

or diminish the negative effects of saturn....

and these personal 'yaguas' that one can do for oneself...

are very real and very powerful...Jyotish remedies....

that will make a difference....

My particular .... insight into Jyotish...is on these Jyotish

configurations....

specifically....that the malefics not only contain the declarations of where

our problems are coming from...

But.... !!!

they also contain the wisdom....as to what we could start doing

differently...

to literally change and transform our malefics ....into strengths!

And yes.... Saturn is also a significator of meditation...

and in fact the Shiva....pole....

so that when we meditate.... we stir the much needed silence

and deep quietness....

that will allow us to do more, the right things at the right times....

and ultimately....diminish our suffering....

the more we get in tune with silence....

the more ....we rise up out of ignorance....

and into the bliss of....Being!

Karmas...can be changed....

think of karmas.... like a boulder coming down the hill....

you're only mentioning....a kind of mental attitude..

where you might be able to get out of the way....!

But...if you know about Vedic engineerings....

then you may be familiar with Vedic yaguas... which are used

to literally send another...... Cosmic...force...

out into the universe...in time and space...

and literally knock off that boulder which is definitely coming!

I know lots of people who have much experience with this Vedic science...

the Maharishi, Guru of Transcendental Meditation.... also agrees

that karmas can and should be changed....

they're difficult...and the ability to do this has been lost, unavailable...

for the masses for a long time....

but all that is changeing....

Mark/Christiane,

We cannot ignore the fact that the Atmakaraka is a retrograde Saturn

for Roik (alias Das). No doubt he is known as Das to many. Das means

servant. Servant in the house of Guru.... with Guru. Goravani means

Word of Guru.....Servant to the Word of Guru. Is it a coincidence

that Guru (Jupiter) and the servant (Saturn) are in the ninth house?

Loving regards,

Arun

Happy new year 2004

Roiks full Vaishnava name is, I believe, Raghuananda

Das Goravani

Now, who is that servant living in constant bliss of

his Guru and Lord Raghuvir (Rama). It was Anjaneya

(Hanuman), the great warrior, who is Lord Shiva

himself.

If Das can remember that Lord Shiva can perform the

most terrific austerities and on the other hand be the

divine husband whose love making with Parvathy Devi

shakes the universe, it might help him.

And as you pointed out, retrograde Sani is Atmakaraka.

So in order to progress on the spiritual path Sani's

lessons have to be learned.

I think the crux of the Richard's horoscope lies in

this fact. Richard tends to ignore the conditon of the

moon and mercury in his chart as well as the

significator for self, Lagnadhipati Mars. Instead he

identifies himself with Guru as Lof 9. To me here lies

the ilusion. Guru does not show Richard's position or

occupation in this life (highpriest). Guru in Lagna in

navamsa forms Guru Chandala with Ketu, and shows this

illusion .Guru in 9 shows that he will have the great

good fortune of being accepted as disciple of a good

Guru and lots of good luck if he stays in tune.

Sani is the significator for profession in Das's

chart. Serving a Guru, or in the mundane world being

assistant to a professor orf managing director, living

or working in an institution (Mars in 12) seems to be

Dharma for Das. Not being the Guru himself.

Going against ones Dharma or not living in tune with

one's resources causes terrible mental turmoil.

Accepting our charts is the hardest thing.

Guru-chandala yog is jupiter-rahu conjunction. It has nothing to do with ketu.
