1. Why is this list so silent? Is it my strange personality?

 

Can't speak for the list membership...except me. I'm just very busy

right now...having my retirement home build, setting up a "new" Vedic

Astrology business in the town I've moved to, 'n...of course, working a

full-time job.

 

As for y'r personality, Das...I don't consider it...or you, strange.

 

2. I need recommendations as to who is a good practicing astrologer in

America that I can refer people to. Please suggest if you've had what

you

consider an excellent reading with someone professional.

 

I HIGHLY recommend my teacher, Mr. R. G. Krishnan...in Richardson, TX.

Also, I believe Ernst Wilhelm to be VERY GOOD. Don't know where he is;

but I can find out.

 

3. Has astrology become boring to the core membership of the group? Does

that explain the silence?

 

Far from "boring", dear Das! In fact, I am studying now as much as I did

when I first started...as intensely, I mean. Other reasons given above

for my lack of activity on the list.

 

4. Is the "hay day" of Jyotish's introduction into the West over?

 

Perhaps it's "introduction" is coming to a close; as there are (perhaps)

enough students that it is building toward being "mainstream", competing

(if that is the right term) equally with western astrology.

 

5. The conferences used to be exciting. I haven't been since Jan 2000.

Are

they still exciting?

 

I attended one here in (nearby) Dallas in 2002 (?) that I enjoyed very

much! I would like to attend the ACVA conferences, as well as others;

but, do not have the money...or the time, to do so.

 

6. Is anyone like me- likes watching astrology for self, but hates

reading

charts for others due to the stickiness of everyone's karma?

 

I make it a practice to NOT remember people's charts; as I don't want to

dwell on their difficulties. But, I really love reading for people...as

I learn so much when I do. I also want to read the biographies of people

for whom I have their chart...such a great learning experience! ...for

me, anyway.

 

7. Is there anyone else in the group who is: Officially bipolar, lives

alone, takes no drugs, works at home?

 

I'm 2 1/2 out of 4, Das! I live alone, take no drugs, and work half-time

at home.

 

8. Do my postings make you repulsed, nervous, estranged, etc?

 

I just recently came across y'r birthdata from an e-mail a LONG time

ago! I want to setup y'r chart and study it along with the wealth of

data you have provided...most generously, about you. Need more time,

however. No...I am not repulsed, nervous, or estranged by y'r posts. I

ask ganesh and the quan yin to watch over and protect you. If there is

something else you would like for me to do for you; please let me know

what it is. If I can do it...I will.

 

9. Does anyone else find modern Hindi music videos hilarious?

 

<LOL!> I haven't had the pleasure (?) of viewing any. The traditional

dancing that I have witnessed leaves me speechless, however, by its

beauty.
