Yoga of the Day (for Das , Sabine et al)

Hello, Das, Sabine and everyone

 

We need to be careful and mindful in interpreting these yogas about

afterlife. A current day acharya has stated that human life is the

highest development of living entities on this earth. As such, it is

not likely that humans can degenerate into the lower classes of

existence, unless that person has wasted this life in ignorance or

evil.

 

As the Bhagavad Gita states, it is important for human beings to

develop their consciousness so that they can attain the heavenly

states here on earth and beyond.

 

With that in mind, we can appreciate the message stated in Hora

Sara. The author states that:

 

1. Those with lagnas in the rashis of Jupiter will go to heaven.

2. Those with lagnas in the rashis of the Sun and Mars go to the

world of mortals.

3. Those with Ketu in the lagna go to Mrityu Loka (translated

as "hell").

4. Those with Mercury lagna go the animal kingdom.

5. Those with Saturn rashis and Rahu in the lagna are destined to

take rebirth as asuras.

 

These slokas are interesting and are food for thought...

You are right that we need to be very careful in

interpreting these yogas about pastlifes whether it be

your last janma or future one.

 

But let me tell you one thing people have translated

these great classics without even themselves

understanding there hidden meanings which they

themselves dont know.

 

Now Hora Sara talks about these combinations of grahas

in the Lagna but no hint is given which Lagna it is

talking about so you cannot apply these yogas on the

natal chart. Its better that these combinations are

left alone because even no research can be done on it

as who has seen the past life or the future. We do

sometimes get horoscopes of people who remember there

past life but again we can only verify if we are able

to trace there previous birth charts. We are still

researching these under Sh. K.N. Rao on these topics

but still fail to get any results so far.

The subject is fascinating and as you said these yogas are hard to

verify. I'm glad that KN Rao and his group are researching this

topic. We're looking forward to reading their findings in the future.

 

In my opinion, one can have a glimpse of past lives by the dreams

that we experience. Similarly, dreams can foretell the future as

well--as in the Pharoah's dreams in the Old Testament.
