US Elections 2004 - Predictions through Chaitra Shukla Pratipada Chart

Hi all,

I just discovered a nice analysis of US Presidential Elections

through an innovative predictive technique "Chaitra Shukla Pratipada

Chart" - by Anshu Malee Sood.

http://howisyourdaytoday.com/Articles/USEl2004.htm

I never saw this method used before. I would be obliged to have

Jyotish scholar's views about this methodology.

Thank you very much.

Sharon

I would like to ask a question about the time that is used in this article. The

author writes" For USA, the chart for 20th of March 2004, 17:41:17 AM at

Washington, DC." What is the significance of this time that he uses?? Is that,

in the author's opinion, when the true Hindu New Year begins?? It would seem to

me that the time that he has used: 17:41:17 would be the equivalent of 5:41:17

PM & not AM. My ephemeris for March 20th, 2004 lists 11:51:27 as the Sidereal

time. This issue of time is confusing to me??

I am in no way a jyotish scholar. But what about this concept...Mars represents

the contest & the aggressor or current holder of the office(Bush). At the

moment when the first ballot will be cast Mars will be in Virgo. Mercury the

dispositor of Mars at that moment, will be in Scorpio. The moon is fallen in

Scorpio...The moon will be in Gemini...which leads us back to Mars & Mercury.

Since we are now back to where we began...I might conclude that Bush would win.

Just a few of my thoughts.

Dear sharon and robin

The Chaitra Shukla Pratipada Chart is based on the New Moon in Pisces

each year. You adjust it for various locations of course, which will

change the ascendant and house positions of the planets of course.

As the author of the article said:

"Venus Rahu conjunction can be viewed in a whole different

perspective too. Rahu is said to represent all that is foreign.

Therefore the tenth lord Venus can be considered to be under foreign

influence or associated with foreigners. To the awareness of the

author while George Bush may not meet this consideration, John Kerry

does since he is married to a lady of German origin."

We should be cognizant that we do not always have all the

information, the Venus in question is the 10th house RULER, therefore

it describes, the current administration, therefore it has to

represent President Bush and not Kerry even if we do not know how.

Venus is in the 9th house of the chart which falls in the 12th from

the 10th. So it will relate to matters ruled by those houses. As its

the 12th house no doubt we dont know about it. Ninth is foreign

nations, publishing, religious faith, teaching, among other things.

Rahu in a trine with an angle ruler gives the power of a raja yoga.

Additionally Jupiter trines Venus. Venus and Jupiter carry the

portfolio of celestial advisors.

Especially in such a heated situation as this election is, but in any

situation where you think you know somethign about a person so you

try and fit the chart to what you know, mistakes can be made. Yes

from 4th house its the 7th house ruler and Jupiters aspect, ruling

house of money from 4th (2nd from 4th) means teresa is providing

cash.

Mars is a yogakaraka for Leo ascendant, and its found in the 10th

house.

Try looking at the chart like this, which house is most powerful, by

planets placed there and by placement of ruler. Sure Mars in 10th

could be read as powerful for 4th house considerations, but moreso as

powerful for 10th house considerations, esp in light of strong

placement of Venus, its ruler. The ashtakavarga is 31 in 10th, 27 in

4th.

The 10th house in navamsa too has Sun Moon Jupiter and Rahu placed

there.

President Bush will be re elected, no doubt about it. So far

everything points that way. (not just this chart)
