Guest guest
Following is a copy of a post from the American College of Vedic Astrology (acva) I tried to forward earlier: Dear CVA members, ACVA students and faculty: It is with deep sadness that I need to inform you of the tragic death of Barry Strevens - a member of CVA and BAVA and a successful ACVA Level II graduate. Barry was one of the 7 people who were killed in the Berkshire train crash last Saturday evening, November 6th. At the time he was on the way home to Wells, England in Somerset, having attended Sanjay Rath's all day BAVA Workshop at Mandeville Place in London. Barry Strevens was 55 years old and lived with his lovely wife Jaqui and their two beautiful sons Oli, aged two and Toby, five months in Wells, England. He also has a 19 year old daughter and a step-daughter from his first marriage. I have spoken with Jaqui, his wife, and passed on our heart-felt condolences and requested details of the funeral arrangements. The memorial service to celebrate the blessed life of Barry Strevens will be held at the Haycombe Crematorium in Bath, England on December 1, 2004 at 11:11 AM. Many of the ACVA faculty and students had just spent several days with Barry at the Dallas ACVA Certification Conference in Dallas, Texas last month. Barry was so happy about successfully passing the ACVA Level II examination and was in the process of building his blossoming jyotish practice. Barry was also long-time devotee of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation. On a personal note, he had become a dear friend to me and many of the sangha in the Vedic Astrology community. He was always smiling and brought great joy to the hearts of those people fortunate to have met him. Barry was such a great soul and is deeply missed. If any one wishes to contact his dear wife Jaqui; her email address is jaqui108. Flowers and monetary donations to assist the Strevens family at this time of need can be sent to Jaqui Strevens at her home address: The Bungalow, Monterye Lodge, St Thomas Street, Wells, Somerset, BA5 2UU. Om Shanti, Dennis Harness, Ph.D. President, American College of Vedic Astrology
