Guest guest
Maybe the swastika spread, but maybe it did not spread but arose spontaneously in a number of places. Carl Jung has described quite well how archetypes exist in the unconscious and spontaneously arise into consciousness, in dream or other forms. The aboriginal describe their legends as the dreamtime, referring to the time of creation. The rainbow serpent is not dissimilar to the kundalini, and one can suppose they had some actual spiritual development in their culture Either each culture has a different spiritual experience, and a different creator, or theres one creator and people everywhere experience that one creator; but when it comes to describing that experience it takes different forms according to the culture. I for one cannot see that one person in one culture can experience samadhi, and that the spiritual experience described elsewhere can be different. Sure the vedic culture has language and descriptions of it lackign elsewhere, but regardless of its description and verbal understanding, the inner experience is the same. Spirituality transcends culture. Perhaps merlin was a rishi. if he had spiritual powers, why not. its not so far fetch considering the powers ascribed to him. Like if you take 5 artists and they all paint the same landscape you will see very different pictures. Vedic culture is the most intact, but this does not invalidate other cultures, but at the root of all we can see the universality. Tama and Raja guna's in vedic, Ying and Yang in China, different descriptions of the same thing. Today we have sidled towards materialism so there are no gods, but only money and comforts. Therefore any religious symbols are mere decoration.
