Hello dear Juliana and the List Members,

Hare Krishna.

Yes, I am speaking as per the knowledge of the Vedas accepted by the great

Spiritual Masters from the very beginning of the creation of this universe.

The Language is Sanskrit. The Culture or Religion is Vedic and the

followers of the Vedic Culture/Relgion are known as Aryan and the eternel

existence of the Living beings are known as Sanatana.

Thank you very much. Hari BOL.

With my best wishes and regards...........AMAR PURI.

Hello dear Juliana and the List Members,

Hare Krishna.

Juliana wrote ;

"These theories still do not explain any

connections with ancient Atlantis though...can you

share any ideas on this, please? "

The connection is there. It all depends upon how one perceives it. One has

to see the connections through the eyes of the Vedas (Knowledge) because our

material senses are imperfect.

Just like the Sun is there always. It may come before your vision or not -

the sun is there and open to everyone. But if you are fortunate you come

before the Sun.

|| Om Gurave Namah ||

Dear Friends,

Let me tell some of my understanding/thoughts from the perpective

of Puranas and Itihaas.

To begin, let me define

Purana(Ancient): Ancient Literatures containing stories about

creation, destruction, The Lineage from first forefathers

(called Prajapati in sanskrit), Incarnations etc. Usually these

are stories passed from generation to generation.

Later documented and codified for future generations.

These usually contain alegorical stories where complex

ideas needed to be presented. Every Major period called

manvantara a Rishi is born to codify the knowledge.

This Rishi is called VedaVyaasa(Meaning subtender of Vedas;

Vyasa mean diagnol in geometry).

The current Manvantar's VedaVyasa is Krishna Dwaipayana Vyasa.

Itihaas: History, These text contains documention of specific

event in history. Usually in important turning points in

History the Documentor (Rishi) born before the event itself.

Like Vyasa was born before Mahabharata, Valmiki for Ramayana.

Now Puranas, Have important sub parts local to geography of the

location it's called Sthala(Station is derived from 'sth') Purana.

This is local to the place and explains the divinity associated

with that place. Places like Thirupathi, Rameshawaram, ShriRangam,

all shakti Peethas (Places where special powers of shakti are seen)

, etc have their own Sthala Purana. These Sthala Purana may or

maynot appear in the Common Purana.

There are many locations not yet idenfied from Purana's For example

there are supposed to 1008 Shakti Peethas(Places) where diving

mother's energy is seen. They are all over the world. Only hundred

odd around India is identified and regularly worshipped.

So in summary, All the places may not find description in Purana's

The local history is very important to associate with the dieties

local to the place. This is the kind of concept used in Graama

(Village) devata(diety). Local Landmasses (even continents I would

think) have local dieites taking care of protection.

Study of Ancient stories from Native people is very important for

this.

Warm Regards

Sanjay P.
